This week's feature for Badlands gets into the recent actions taken by the Marco Rubio State Department to neuter the censorship industry holdouts in R/fimi via a RIF (reduction in force).

When Congress killed the Global Engagement Center's (GEC) funding last August, one of the Biden administration's last maneuvers was to take all of the employees at GEC and move them to a new department at State called R/fimi, to carry on the censorship work they'd been doing. The RIF allows Rubio to dissolve the department without fear of legal action from the "rule of law" mafia.

The article also gets into the pros and cons of the Trump administration's approach to free speech, and the censors greatest weapon: the EU's Digital Services Act.

I tend to try to do my darndest to keep my mind and soul as nonpartisan as possible, but on this issue I actually agree with Marco Rubio’s assessment and actions— believe me, that is not something I had written on my 2025 bingo card.

While the Trump administration has serious, glaring free speech issues right now (particularly relating to criticisms of a certain country in the Middle East), this is a big step toward dismantling the international, interagency network that has essentially functioned as a weapon of mass destruction in the context of cognitive warfare against the populations of the world by the ruling class.

This is one of those few big wins that transcends partisan politics, but to play devils advocate to my own point, whether or not the Rubio State Department won't simply retool things to create a new right-wing populist friendly censorship regime has yet to be seen, but is a very real possibility.

Freedom of speech is one of my main beats, and one of the most important issues of our time. The censorship apparatus that was bolstered in the wake of BREXIT and the 2016 election can be used by an administration on either side of the political aisle to oppress its dissidents.
One thing that everyone can agree on, regardless of which side of the cultural/political aisle you might fall on, is that it sucks to have your voice silenced. Despite this universality, there are two types of people; those who abhor censorship and those who only abhor censorship when it’s targeting ideas with which they agree.

This is true for a majority of the left and the right, despite all of the free speech rhetoric during the censor-happy Biden administration, conservatives are now embracing free speech limitations on those with whom they disagree. If you think this isn’t true, then you’ve deluded yourself.

That being said, the only true way to win the war against censorship is to end censorship—particularly state-sponsored censorship—wherever it occurs.

Care to learn who the real winners of the "war on drugs" are? Check out my latest:

"For decades, the United States has purported to wage a highly publicized "War on Drugs," portraying it as a noble crusade against the scourge of narcotics plaguing American streets and destabilizing nations abroad. Billions of dollars have been funneled into law enforcement, military operations, and international partnerships to combat cartels, traffickers, and kingpins, all the while a “prison industrial-complex” bloomed into a multi-billion dollar industry annually (See CoreCivic and Geo Group revenue reports.)

Yet beneath this rhetoric lies a troubling paradox: allegations persist that the very agencies tasked with fighting this war—that unholy trinity of the CIA, State Department, and Pentagon—have, at times, exploited drug trafficking to fund their own covert agendas, both at home and overseas.

The truth is that the so-called "War on Drugs" isn’t some “noble crusade” to save America from the scourge of narcotics. It’s a sham. A meticulously engineered operation, birthed in the shadowy bowels of Langley, designed not to stop drugs, but to harness their economic and destructive powers.

Far from a conspiracy theory confined to fringe circles, these claims have surfaced in congressional reports, declassified documents, and firsthand accounts, painting a picture of a war where the lines between enforcer and enabler blur."

My latest:

"NewsGuard’s mask is off—less a shield against “misinformation,” more a cudgel for the CIA-NATO-White House axis. This isn’t sloppy fact-checking; it’s a playbook—smear dissent, prop up the club, and cash Pentagon checks while Michael Hayden nods approval from the advisory shadows. Brill and Crovitz aren’t just elitists; they’re gatekeepers, and their little browser badge is a loyalty test for the uniparty’s preferred narrative."

"On one hand, a focused opinion page could sharpen the Post’s brand in a crowded media landscape, appealing to libertarians tired of mixed messages. But the cost is steep: silencing dissent is always a risky gamble for a paper, especially considering that it was exactly that which caused people to turn away from the Post to begin with.

WaPo spent years amplifying establishment, CIA-approved political messaging while pooh-poohing on conservative and anti-establishment sentiment, to the point where the papers tagline "Democracy dies in darkness" became a laughable statement, slapped on one of the United States' premier propaganda rags.

Bezos, a tech titan with a profit-driven track record, may see this as a business play—streamline content, boost subscriptions. Yet, history warns against owner-driven agendas; papers thrive on tension, not monologues. Readers deserve more than a billionaire’s soapbox; they need the messy, clashing ideas that fuel real debate. This move to restrict the opinion page to focus solely on "free markets and personal liberties" completely misses the point and reason why WaPo is suffering; people want to see a variety of genuine ideas and to make their own judgements. They are essentially going from being a mouthpiece for the democratic party to being a mouthpiece for the center-right."

PARDON US—the latest from accomplished filmmaker Adam Riva—is now streaming for free on Rumble, the premier free speech platform.

Legacy media has relentlessly fed the American people a distorted and biased narrative of the events of January 6, 2021. They falsely attempt to portray unarmed patriots—who were concerned about a stolen election—as violent insurrectionists. Despite the mainstream media's attempts to rewrite history, over 99% of the footage from that day remains hidden by the government.

PARDON US: JUSTICE FOR ALL exposes the truth behind the weaponized justice system and makes it clear why the J6 patriots deserve pardons of innocence from President Donald Trump.

Featuring Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, author Treniss Evans, Stop Hate founder David Sumrall, and persecuted victim Daniel Goodwyn, this documentary uncovers the tragic legal battles waged against ordinary American families caught in a politically motivated trap.

The film presents shocking testimony, devastating video evidence, and the full scope of the lawfare used to destroy families. These were not criminals—they were innocent patriots seeking justice in the face of a corrupt system.

The same faction of European elite who are leading the charge for online censorship (via the Digital Services Act) happen to also be the most vocal, bloodthirsty proponents of the war in Ukraine. But are they toothless without the backing of the United States?

My latest for Badlands Media is a real doozy.

"Welcome to the world of the CIA and its "cut-outs," the National Democratic Institute (NDI) and the International Republican Institute (IRI)—two outfits that sound like noble champions of democracy, but might just be the gears in a machine designed to control the game, no matter who’s sitting in the White House.

For decades, whispers have circulated about the CIA’s meddling in foreign elections—toppling governments and propping up pro-US dictators, all under the guise of "spreading freedom" or “defending democracy.” But what if the real story isn’t just overseas? What if the same playbook has been running right here at home, shaping the very political parties we vote for?

The NDI and IRI aren’t just tools for foreign regime change—they’re the CIA’s way of keeping America’s political class on a leash, Democrat and Republican alike."

McCain founded the International Republican Institute (IRA), which is the Republican equivalent of the National Democratic Institute (NDI), the Democrat arm of the CIA. Both orgs lead back to the National Endowment for Democracy. Before Trump, Republican presidential candidates had to be IRA members or approved. John McCain's legacy is more swamp monster than war hero

"...There are concerns that O’Neill might undermine or work against Kennedy’s agenda. These fears stem from differences in their backgrounds, priorities, and approaches to health policy, as well as O’Neill’s ties to certain ideological and industry circles. While nothing’s set in stone—O’Neill’s confirmation is still pending as of February 25, 2025—here’s what’s fueling the speculation.

Kennedy built his platform on skepticism of mainstream medicine, vaccine safety reviews, and rooting out corporate influence in agencies like the FDA and CDC. His “MAHA” vision emphasizes transparency, chronic disease prevention, and challenging Big Pharma. O’Neill, however, comes from a Silicon Valley biotech world, with deep ties to Peter Thiel (Bilderberg Steering Committee, Israel/CIA ties, alleged Epstein associate, Opus Dei connections) and a track record of pushing experimental technologies like regenerative medicine and anti-aging therapies.

Counter to what RFK has proposed, O’Neill has previously advocated for lighter FDA regulation—approving drugs based on safety alone, not efficacy—which could clash with Kennedy’s focus on rigorous science and public trust."

Hell yeah. On the eve of the JFK file release it's worth revisiting this gem. Talbot wrote The Devil's Chessboard, which to me is the authoritative book on the CIA, Allen Dulles, and the formation of the deep state as we know it.

We're going to have a live watch party of my first film for Dauntless Dialogue "Global Coup D'état" tonight at 5 pm EST. It's the first in a three-part series exploring the most damning evidence that COVID-19 and its response were part of a long-planned operation that sought to not only facilitate the largest upward transfer of wealth in human history but also psychologically prime the world population for a more authoritarian, top-down style of global governance.

LMAO it's a crazy old world.
Will this be informative, or will it devolve into a shouting match? These are two of the most interruption-prone men in the media today, and they have wildly conflicting opinions on a few topics, especially on a certain country in the Middle East. I'm pretty stoked to see it either way. Tune in to Glenn Greenwald's SystemUpdate tonight on Rumble, the premier free speech alternative to YouTube.
