I have a nephew that I'm pretty proud of.

He and I somehow both managed to marry older women, and Dan out did me by a bunch. The age spread between him and his wife was close to 20 years.

They were married for 22 years, and for 13.5 of that Linda suffered with Alzheimer's. There are several stages for that horrible disease, but the last 4 or 5 years Linda was off the charts.

Dan had a woman that looked after Linda during the day while he worked, but I don't think that he spent 30 nights away from her in those 13 years. He could have put her in a facility, but I don't think that was ever really considered.

Linda finally left us this week, which is sad but also somewhat welcomed. I expressed my pride to him yesterday about the way he had cared for her and he simply said, "I did what I said I would do".

Yes he did. God bless them both.

I'll be falling a bit further behind.

🚨 President Trump signs an Executive Order on Election Integrity

- Mandates documented proof of US citizenship on voter registration documents.

- Ties federal election funding to states’ adherence to integrity measures outlined in federal law.
—— i.e. if states do not comply, they lose all federal funding.

- Orders updates to the Voluntary Voting System Guidelines 2.0 and security protocols for voting machines, requiring a voter-verifiable paper ballot record and prohibiting the use of ballots where the recorded vote is embedded in a barcode or QR code.

- Instructs the Attorney General to establish information-sharing partnerships with state election authorities to detect instances of election fraud or other breaches of election law.

- Implements suitable measures against states that include ballots received after Election Day in federal election tallies.

- Cancels Biden’s Executive Order 14019, which repurposed federal agencies as voter mobilization hubs for the Democratic Party.

Draza describes a situation with out housing values pretty well in this post. There is also a 5 minute video. Draza is one of the smart people that has played a key roll in the election issues.

Locally we are learning that the school districts and boards are the entities pushing the hardest for reevaluations on our houses. The schools are broke. Those bonds will come due sooner than later. The guy in the video thinks our housing values may be inflated by over 40%. That's good if you own your house, it sucks if you are trying to buy your first one.

Technically education board races are non partisan, but lets face it, there’s really no such thing and non partisan. The more conservative contestants lost all four races that precinct 1504 had representatives running in. By and large they were beat on a 2 to 1 vote margin with a total vote of less than 6500.

Our precinct had a turnout of 4.31% while the overall turnout for the election was 7.99%. In a general election we are among the highest in the county and are generally in the 60% range. This is a significant difference and it matters. I can argue that our school board up to our county commissioners races are the most important ones that we vote in.

The city of Mansfield also had some municipal races and involvement was a bit higher within the city limits there. The City of Mansfield's turnout ranged from a low 10% to a high of just under 34%. There were 7 precincts with a turnout above 20% and I guarantee you that those are the precincts that made the difference.

Was it some kind of cheat, or simply a very tight turn out the vote effort? I can’t say, but I guarantee that in a low turn out election either one or both are easy to do. The easiest way to combat that problem? Don’t have low turn out elections. There are two solutions to the turnout problem, get up off your butt and vote, and yes I understand it’s tough to know who to vote for sometimes, or to have fewer elections. I think we need to do both.

I made a less authoritative post on the above information yesterday.

The post above says this coming Tuesday and that is incorrect it is on Wednesday. There is also a second agenda item I've been made aware. The following is from Fran at the True Texas Project:

Tarrant County Friends,

Your help is needed at the Tarrant Commissioners Court to help keep Tarrant Red! On the agenda for Wednesday April 2nd, is Agenda Item X-P1-A

Consideration and Possible Action to Approve a
Legal Services Agreement between Tarrant County
and the Public Interest Legal Foundation

This agreement is for the purpose of redistricting the County. This is a campaign promise that Judge Tim O'Hare ran on, and now he's making good on that promise.

The Public Interest Legal Foundation is a non profit, public interest law firm devoted to election integrity.

Tarrant has not been redistricted since 2011, so it is past time. Tarrant County commissioner district lines were expected to be redrawn in 2021, but commissioners voted to keep the same districts, saying they didn’t need updating. Population centers in the county have shifted since 2011, and redistricting could give our side a major advantage. Counties are not restricted to the every 10 years that force redistricting on Congressional, State House and Senate Seats.

Please attend the meeting if you can, and speak in favor of the proposed agreement. Your statement could be as simple as that: "I am in favor of the proposed agreement." But of course, you're free to elaborate on that if you wish.

If you cannot attend - please make an on-line comment using the form provided.

WHAT: Tarrant County Commissioners Court
WHEN: Wed. April 2, 2025, 10:00 AM
WHERE: Tarrant County Administration Building, 100 E. Weatherford, Fort Worth, 5th Floor
USE THE PUBLIC COMMENT FORM PROVIDED at this link to sign up to speak or make on-line comment

The deadline to sign up to speak or make on-line comment is 5:00 pm on Tuesday April 1. Even if you're not sure if you can go - sign up anyway in case you can.

There will major opposition to this idea from the left. Please be a part of the solution to counter their protests. This will be good for Tarrant County and good for Texas.

You know the old saying..... Texas keeps the nation RED, and Tarrant keeps Texas RED. Let's make sure it stays that way.

Thanks for staying engaged!

As I've stated before, I'm working on a complicated document that I might not even be able to present. Nonetheless, I must be prepared and am putting considerable effort into it.

I've asked for prayers and think that y'all may have delivered. Don't stop now. there are still some complicated issues to deal with.

A short video on the lack of accountability in our elections.

This also touches on ballot security which is a pet issue of mine and a problem across Texas.

There is an element in this that will cause quite the ruckus. This looks like it requires the devices to be recertified under the VVSG2.0 standard.

Right now I think all systems, certainly all systems in Texas are certified under the 1.0 standard. The 1.1 standard came along and it was a bit tougher. Nobody certified under the 1.1 standard. It's been a while since I read it, but as I recall, the 2.0 standard was a step back from 1.1.

this will be interesting to watch.

Throw up some amens and hallelujahs. Brewster has been slapped up side the head and forced to look at minutia, and that minutia destroys one of the arguments that most often gets used against us in he search for computer data in our elections.

I still have to allowed to present the case, so some prayers are in order there, but I can kill a key argument.
20.03.202513:16
Yesterday I spent the day keeping our new Ballot Board Judges stuff straight;)

I'm teasing a bit here, I was straightening some of the long tapes from our elections equipment test so that she could more easily roll them up. Our new Judge has a lot to learn about the process, but I think we all do and every indication is that she is dug in and ready to learn it.

I'm proud of the ladies I get to work with in elections.

I know that we all have too much content and too little time, but I think this is another one of Tuckers interviews that justifies the time spent.

Many of us have probably seen clips from it, but there's a lot of nuance here that helps understand some things and it isn't only on 9/11, but also on the early days of China trade as well.

Citizens of Tarrant County have an opportunity to speak up on the redistricting of the four county commissioners districts, and the elimination of zero persons precincts, this coming Wednesday, I originally posted Tuesday. Yes we have many precincts with zero people in them. In a county that is somewhat evenly divided by I30 and I 35 this map is ridiculous. Adjustments would have even out the population among seats, and should align with other political boundaries when possible.

Those four Commissioners precincts cut across multiple other jurisdictions and help create significant confusion in our elections.

It's past time to fix this mess. Testifying in person is preferred, but you can lodge comments on line as well. The following is a link to the agenda. The issue is covered in Item G.

Doing this by EO will be problematic, and in my view it doesn't go far enough. This still allows not only ballot marking devices, but also Direct Recording Electronic devices which are unauditable, according to the Election Code. It's right.

I'd need to take time to read the whole EO, but right now I'm covered up in alligators. The coming weeks statement is encouraging. much more is needed at every level.
19.03.202511:44
I'm behind on getting back to people. I'll try and get caught up over the next week.

I'm off to the election center today.
