Old Testament Law:
The OT is full of commandments that deal with the letter (2 Cor 3:6) of the law and there’s not nearly the emphasis on intent or motives that we see in the NT (Isa 29:13, I Tim 1:5). The purpose of the law is to prove our need of salvation (Gal 3:24). Without sin nature, there’s no need for the law(I Tim 1:9), we could just please the Lord by our nature and original design (Rev 4:11). Furthermore, in the OT we see leniency in the law due to the hardness of the heart (Matt 19:8). Exodus 20 lists coveting as a a law, but not a crime and no punishment.
New Testament Law:
As a new man in Christ, it should not be the law that’s compelling us to live right - it should be our desire to please the Lord (Gal 2:9). Living in the flesh, we are still limited in knowing how to please the Lord so we are given the Law as a saved man for a guide (Rom 7:7). In the OT, intent & motives mattered, but the emphasis was on the letter of the Law. In the NT, the letter of the law matters, but emphasis is on the heart (Matt 23:25). This is why the NT is stricter on the thought of adultery - there’s no OT verse that says lusting is equivalent to adultery (Matt 5:28). Matthew 5 strengthens the law, not weakens it. OT commands us to not hate our brother (Lev 19:17), but NT says you’re a murderer for hating your brother (I Jn 3:4)
Takeaway:
OT saints would be wrong to just obey the letter but not in sincerity (Josh 24:14). Likewise NT(us) would be wrong to be sincere, but not follow the Law. For if we are sincere, we would follow the Law (Rom 2:25, I Cor 7:19). If we love the Lord we will keep His commandments. We are commanded to go and sin no more. What is sin? A transgression of the Law. When the Law is mentioned in the NT, it’s refering to the OT.

Thank God we have a better administration than we did last time, but if your hope is in that big White House, be prepared to be disappointed. Win souls before it’s too late.

Why? Because it’s Friday!

So this is supposed to encourage us? Long haired faggots are still in the White House, but this time they’re pretending to be Christian singers. 🤮🤢
There’s a fitting analogy about bodily fluid being interpreted as rain.

Blaming domineering women only goes so far. Weak men ceded their power and even the world knows it. Unsaved men from a generation ago ran a better home than most believers do today!

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Titus 2:11-12 KJV
“For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;”
Law Haters like to quote this passage (it’s a great and powerful one), in an attempt to paint those who delight in the law of the Lord as Judaizers or pushing works salvation. It’s disingenuous to say the least.
They like to speak in generalities when speaking on how a believer should live, but get more offended than a fat ugly feminist when a preacher gets up and teaches or preaches on how one is supposed to live soberly, righteously, and godly.
You don’t live godly to get salvation, you live godly (according to the Law) BECAUSE YOU GOT salvation! We ought not apologize for the Law, we ought to delight in it!

Imagine waking up to find out you’re dead.
“And it came to pass that night, that the angel of the LORD went out, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians an hundred fourscore and five thousand: and when they arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses.”
2 Kings 19:35 KJV

Be Balanced!
When you only attend church on Sunday morning, you risk being a soft believer because the sermons tend to be more milk and less meat.
When you miss Sunday Night preaching, you’ll become unbalanced because you’re missing the hard preaching that admonishes you to live for God and do service.
When you miss Wednesday night Bible study, you become unbalanced because you’re not getting the in depth truths that connect everything together.
When you miss church wide soulwinning, you’ll become unbalanced because you can become a well of biblical information but lack the compassion for souls because you’re not actively and accountably working to reach the lost!
