The Lonely Path to Liberty
I’m convinced when God reveals certain truths we’re meant to know, it can sometimes get incredibly lonely knowing these things by ourselves. Which is why turning to Christ is the key to comfort, safety and peace.
Could Jesus’ mission be a blueprint for our own, especially on the path wanting ultimate liberty? In Matthew 16:24-25, Jesus said, “If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.” I believe these words show our discipleship should mirror Christ’s journey—No, we don’t atone or die on a cross, but we’re called to sacrifice for others and serve in His spirit. Jesus’ life is clearly a pattern of our own. —a path of sacrifice, surrender, service, loneliness and pure love leading to eternal Liberty.
Early in His ministry, thousands heard of the miracles He performed and sought Him out to follow Him and be healed. Yet, as His mission neared its end, His circle shrank smaller and smaller with some of the uncomfortable truths He was sharing. Friends left, disciples betrayed Him, and He faced the cross completely alone. However in this loneliness, His spiritual roots with the Father deepened, enabling for the strength of His atoning sacrifice and resurrection. Likewise, as we embrace and start to share Truth, fewer friends and family may understand us, and our path may get very lonely, leading through extremely dark seasons in our lives, however in ways we don’t fully understand, I testify Christ understands us perfectly, because He’s already walked that exact path perfectly, with you.
When we face our own little Gethsemanes— I know these dark moments call us to align with God’s will, even when unbearable. “Carrying our cross” also means embracing burdens tied to our divine purpose—struggles, service, or standing for liberty.
The good news is losing our lives for His sake—surrendering our selfish desires, repenting of our sins, we find Christ on deeper levels. The path of Liberty, though lonely, holds a promise. Romans 8:16-18 assures we are “joint-heirs with Christ” if we suffer with Him, ultimately sharing in His glory forever and ever. Just as Jesus’ obedience exalted Him, our faith through trials transforms us to be prepared for the Kingdom of God. The reward is eternal union with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.
When loneliness weighs, remember Jesus, who took the loneliest path for our liberty. His example is our strength, His victory our hope. By walking His path—sacrificing, serving, seeking God—we become like Him, One in true Liberty.

Hey America, are we really the land of the free? Because this isn’t the way.
Sometimes people will say things you really don’t like to hear; but if we all don’t stand for their right to say things we may even hate, this nation will quickly slip into a dark abyss.
Call your congressperson and tell them to vote NO tomorrow. We’re either truly America First, we’re an occupied country. Are we the United Stated of America or the United States of Israel?

Someone sent this to me and I believe it's important enough to share. A few in the LDS Church local leadership (unknown exactly where) are collecting stories of vaccine injuries within the church, also among missionaries vaccinated at the MTC. If you or your missionary, or someone you know in the church experienced injury, illness, or death post-vaccination, please complete the survey. Your input is vital and will be included in a report for upper church leaders. The survey also has a section for related stories or concerns. Thank you and please share this to anyone you can think who can help out this effort.
