Original proclamation of the declaration of war on Spain today, 127 years ago. The war ended within a matter of 4 months and marked one of America's first decisive victories against a major European power. We acquired Puerto Rico, Guam and the Philippines. The latter went on to become the cornerstone of the American colonial empire until 1946. Furthermore, as previously mentioned, the American colonial empire, which included many Pacific islands and even Liberia, is usually entirely overshadowed by European colonial empires and the fact we had one as well is forgotten.

Today marks the 164th anniversary of the start of the American Civil War. It is predicted that around 620 thousand men died during the 4-year-long conflict, making it the deadliest war ever in American history, topping both WW1 and WW2 COMBINED. It is a known misconception that this war was over just slavery and that the Northerners were anti-racist "saviors". Ever since the creation of the United States, there had been a standing rivalry between the North and South which eventually erupted due to the failure of homosexual POTUS James Buchanan to contain it. Both sides had incredible generals, such as Robert E. Lee and Ulysses S. Grant. Lincoln originally intended to deport all non-whites to Africa after the civil war but later changed his mind. Furthermore, to sum this all up, it's important to remember those who fought and died for both sides and neither side was necessarily "bad/wrong".

Historians conclude the attempt on his life and the aftermath as one of the main reasons he lost the 1972 election. The shooter's motive had nothing to do with Wallace's pro-segregationist and nationalistic views; Instead, he was simply a person with schizophrenia seeking fame.

Today marks the 250th anniversary of the start of the American Revolutionary War. On April 19th, 1775, British troops marched on Lexington in an attempt to seize materials from local American militias. They expected minimal resistance but were met with a well-formed militia who opposed them. Soon enough, the first shot was fired and the War for Independence began. My ancestors, among many others, fought in this war to secure a future for the American people. Today we celebrate the victory and remember those who died fighting for it.

Today marks the 57th anniversary of the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. MLK was nothing more than a subversive agent aimed at inciting racial tensions within America and disrupting the already existing balance. Above this, he was a heretical baptist who strongly supported Israel and had various connections to them. He was one of the direct causes of white men who served in Vietnam being hated and spat on upon returning home. MLK will forever remain a stain on American history.
