Meteorites burn up in that path despite being made of rock which is basically what the purported "ceramic tile" heat shields are made of, which superseded the "ablative" heat shields of Apollo (which were presumably not fit for purpose). Still, meteorites are obliterated at that speed and contact with the atmosphere. Yet the orbital speed capsules just happily land in the sea at a set point (ignoring all the confounders from wind resistance, parabolic paths etc and with no video evidence to support the idea that they actually came in on an orbital path).
So yes, the orbital path produces much more heat but perpendicular re-entry from the Karman line is no mean feat and produces explosive of kinetic energy. In summary, both stories are fake. If you think they are not please provide the video feed of the full descent as taken by the video cameras in the capsules and video cameras that should have been attached to the outside of the capsules considering they are so heat resistant.
