"It was the spirit of the front that created National Socialism. In the face of looming death at the front, ideas of social standing and class collapsed. At the front, the sharing of common joys and common sorrows led to a previously unknown camaraderie between citizens. At the front, everyone could see that the common fate towered above the individual fate."
- SS-Obergruppenführer & Deputy Führer Rudolf Hess
In 1935 at Lindenstrasse 8 in Allach, a suburb to the northwest of Munich, three committed members of the SS the painter Franz Nagy, a sculptor, Theodor Kärner, and an artist, Karl Diebitsch. They built a small factory attached to a villa. The plan was to create porcelain worthy of the NSDAP. The plan quickly came to the notice of Reichsführer-SS Heinrich Himmler, who arranged for a substantial capital investment of 45,000 Reichsmarks from his personal office. The Porzellan Manufaktur Allach was founded. With the Schutzstaffel proof mark 💍 becoming their logo.
Himmler believed art should be in every German home, but "first of all in the homes of my SS men." Having his own porcelain factory would give him control, allow him to show off his cultural reach, and raise money for the causes he held dear. One of these, the "German Winter Relief", the official NSDAP charity founded by Hitler after he was appointed chancellor, had enormous kudos in the party. The slogan for 1938 was "20 million porcelain soldiers on the march", as Allach sold porcelain soldiers and little porcelain badges with soldiers on them to raise money for impoverished loyal citizens of the Reich.
Birthdays, weddings, and the birth of a child to SS members all warranted presents of Allach porcelain. And there were porcelain bowls for presentation at the party rallies at Nuremberg, sporting medals, plaques to celebrate accomplishments, a presentation vase to Hitler for his 50th birthday in 1939, huge white vases for the niches of the Chancellery, and the Julleuchter yule lanterns.
Karl Diebitsch served as the director of Porzellan Manufaktur Allach in 1936 until the factory in Allach became too small, and at the end of 1939, production moved to the Dachau concentration camp. There were many advantages to having the factory here. There was the immediate gain of using the prisoners for labor. Production continued till the end of the war, making hundreds of thousands of different models and items from small to large for the SS. Having numerous store fronts across the Reich for citizens to purchase.
Photos above show Adolf Hitler, Heinrich Himmler, and Karl Diebitsch showing off and inspecting new pieces.

"Race is the decisive and molding force in the life of the nations. Language, culture, customs, piety, traditions, life style, but also laws, governmental forms and economies, the whole variety of life is racially determined"
"What Reichschancellor Adolf Hitler and Minister-President Goering have done and will do for the protection of animals should set the course for the leaders of all civilised nations!"
The name Ostern, or ‘Easter’, is of Germanic origin. It indicates that the Sun rises exactly in the Ost, or ‘East’. With the arrival of Easter the fight between Winter and Summer is decided in favor of the coming Summer, for when Easter arrives, the Equinox is already past.
Easter is a moveable feast, as it is determined not only by the Sun but also by the Moon. Easter Sunday is the first Sunday after the full Moon that follows the Spring Equinox.
The christian church chose this ancient Germanic feast of reawakening and resurrection for its celebration of the resurrection of the christ. Easter is the feast of the victorious Spring during which the law of the eternal life of Nature is visible in the thousands of buds and growing seeds around us. These days of Easter are celebrated by the Germanic man by gathering round the Easter Fire, the Tree of Life in the house, willow catkins, Easter Eggs and the festive meal.
The Easter Tree
On Green Sunday the children go into the woods and cut flexible brushwood from weeping willow, birch and hazel trees, which will be bound into a Wreath. The Wreath should be hung on the branch of the Jul Wheel positioned in the SS corner of the house. On Maundy Thursday the Wreath should be decorated with willow and hazel catkins, and on Easter Sunday the Easter Eggs should be added.
The Easter Eggs
Everyone knows the Easter Bunny lays the Easter eggs. To honor this story the Bunny appears on the table in almond biscuits, and in the Easter nest in chocolate. The Easter nest of each member of the family is his or her Jul Plate, which is padded with moss or cotton and hidden in the house or yard the night before Easter. The main contents of the nest are the Easter eggs. They should not be replaced by sweets but should be real, living eggs. The egg encloses most clearly the force of the new awakening life. That is why everyone eats eggs on this, the feast of resurrection. To show that these eggs have a special meaning, they are colored and painted.
