Apologies for the *poof*

A lot is happening and has happened.

First, my sister had a stroke 12 days ago; she declined hospitalization w the paramedics. She's since put her face mostly back in place, somehow (I'm thinking sheer will at this point) along with making her entire mouth move when she speaks. Not sure how long this rally lasts, but for now? Props to her for finding the will to live again, even if only for a bit.

As for my mom, I was at her doc appt a few days ago when the doc told her that her kidneys are functioning at approx 40%. There's some other stuff up as well, but it's in the failing kidneys column and includes the severe dizziness the docs keep saying is vertigo (it isn't - 3wks of antivert & she's still dizzy AF).

Anyhoo, the two appear to be in a race to tap out.

Please pray for both my mom and my sis and that both lean into Grace at this point. And pray for my dad and my niece because this is a lot to process.

All of that is to say I'll be gone for a while & I thank you for your prayers and understanding. You guys rock.

There are many deets I've not shared because really? At this point, why bother because the trajectories are far outside the bounds of my control, you know. Is what it is kinda stuff. It doesn't mean there's no random sobbing at traffic lights and whatnot - I've just accepted that which can't be changed at this point.

I'm just thankful AF Jesus is such a constant; I can't even fathom going thru this without.

You know, given I live in the middle of freaking Phoenix, it's getting increasingly irritating having my phone & laptop turned into read only bricks for hours & hours, if not days, at a time.

Anyhoo, I've got full internet for a sec so figured I'd share a bit of what's going on since my mom's not doing too well these days.

The eye drops that'd been helping her to see somewhat for the last few months aren't helping anymore. The idea she wanted a cornea transplant vanished when the doc told her they wouldn't know for 12-18mos if it worked or she was blind in that eye. She also recently dropped the notion she was gon go renew her driver's license so there's that.

So, I'm off to grocery shop for my parent's house and my sister & niece's house, too. Adding to the fun is it's usually 3-4 diff grocery stores to cover both.

As for my dad, he's doing okay; however, per my mom, he's not allowed to grocery shop because he wouldn't do it right or some such.

Yeah. I know. Good times. Talk soon.
