"The Court of Appeal has today ruled that legislation granting the police ‘almost unlimited powers’ to restrict protests was created unlawfully. Judges dismissed an appeal from the Government, finding in favour of human rights organisation Liberty.
Liberty welcomed the landmark ruling, saying that the case sets an important precedent that ‘Government ministers must respect the law, and cannot simply step outside it to do whatever they want.’
Liberty has called on the Government to accept the judgment, and to review every arrest that has been made under the law."

From 55 mins talking about council tax I would just like to add that we do know that at least 25% of council tax goes into the local government pension scheme which invests in arms companies - see here
I can also tell you that I paid £10.08 a month for a twice monthly bin collection when I had my business. So that minimal amount is all it costs for refuse collection
Council tax is theft. Outright. It's taken to fund gold plated pensions and the rest is supposedly used on things we already pay for in other taxes. Not our fault our corrupt government can't balance the books because it spends so much on errant projects of harm

I really appreciate the reporting from outlets like Declassified, as their work will make it difficult for the UK to sanitise its role in the atrocities in Palestine once this conflict ends—and it will eventually end. 👆👆Always have a kit with water purification tablets, a couple of life straws, hand crank radio, some cash, and portable USB chargers always charged. And printed maps. I've been saying it for a long time on the map front. You can't rely on sat nav when the cack hits the fan
If you intend to sit it out at home and can afford it, a genny is good but people will steal them if desperate! Alternative cooking by way of bbq or camping stove will work for home but don't forget you are going to lose all food in the fridge and freezer if the power is off for an appreciable amount of time so have a stock of dried and canned goods. If you get a chance and can fill the bath with water as things go wrong, do it, but remember there is often no warning of these major power outages
If you are going to evacuate the home and go on the road if something like yesterday happens, you should always have a mini first aid kit, mini camping stove (they are tiny) and a couple of jet boils in addition to the water tablets, life straws and maps. Matches and lighters as well and a small box of tinder. We camp so keep this stuff in a small plastic box so it's all together with sleeping bags and a couple of axes and other small tools
We've tried not to rely on batteries too much as if you store them they can be corroded when you eventually come to use them, so prepare for that too
