Talks with Russia/Ukraine continue. The U.S. calls for, ideally, a 30-day unconditional ceasefire. Hopefully, an acceptable ceasefire will be observed, and both Countries will be held accountable for respecting the sanctity of these direct negotiations. If the ceasefire is not respected, the U.S. and its partners will impose further sanctions. Thousands of young soldiers are dying on a weekly basis, and everybody should want it to STOP. President Donald Trump on Monday called for Tina Peters, a former Colorado county clerk who was sentenced to nine years in jail in October over charges related to the 2020 election, to be freed.
He said that he has directed the Department of Justice to take "all necessary action" to secure her release.

The memo lays out that DHS has signed 562 agreements with state and local law enforcement groups, taking advantage of a federal law that allows the agencies to enforce certain aspects of immigration law. While these sorts of agreements existed in the previous administration, the number of agreements signed since Trump took office is already a 316% increase from what was signed during four years of the Biden administration, the memo says.
The agreements could be one of the biggest keys to boosting deportation numbers, which members of the administration have reportedly grown frustrated with.
