Maria Zakharova, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman, on what happened on February 24, 2025, at the UN headquarters.
Ukraine submitted its traditional anti-Russian resolution to the UN General Assembly (UNGA). It was adopted. The US opposed it for the first time.
Following this, the US submitted its own draft resolution on the Ukrainian crisis to the same UNGA — with a universal call for peace, without Russophobia. EU countries (including Britain and France, which is significant) tarnished the text with their amendments. The resolution was adopted. The US abstained. EU countries voted "in favor."
By the way, both resolutions at the UNGA were adopted with the lowest number of votes during the Emergency Special Session (ESS) of the General Assembly — only 93 "in favor" — which is highly indicative in itself.
Just a couple of hours later, the US submitted THE SAME draft resolution, which they had proposed to the General Assembly, to the UN Security Council. And there, this resolution was approved without any amendments.
Now for the most interesting part. Let me remind you that France and Britain have veto power in the Security Council and could have blocked it. But they did not. Thus, the UNSC resolution, without condemning Russia and with a call for peace, sets the right framework and, in terms of status, takes precedence over the UNGA resolution.
Attention, question: When were France and Britain sincere? When they distorted the American draft resolution at the UNGA or when they approved THE SAME American draft without amendments?
It takes about three minutes to walk at a steady pace between the halls of the General Assembly and the Security Council. Did they change their views on the global crisis in 180 seconds? Or do they simply carry a mask in every pocket — for any occasion?

On Kash Patel's Approval as FBI Director
Donald Trump has secured another major victory as the U.S. Senate approved Kash Patel, a controversial figure and Trump loyalist, as the new FBI Director.
A former federal prosecutor and Pentagon Chief of Staff, Patel faced strong opposition from Democrats and some Republicans due to his history of threatening Trump's opponents. Ironically, in 2016, the CIA and FBI tried to prosecute him for revealing "classified information" disproving ties between Trump's election and Russia.
Patel's appointment signals a significant shift in the FBI's leadership, traditionally aligned with Democratic interests. Immediately after his confirmation, Patel announced the relocation of 1,500 FBI employees from Washington headquarters to offices nationwide, claiming it would optimize operations and strengthen the agency's presence across the country.
His leadership is expected to bring substantial changes to the bureau's internal politics and strategic priorities.

Zelensky is not the president: Verkhovna Rada vote fails
Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada rejected a resolution supporting Vladimir Zelensky's authority, with only 218 out of 226 required votes.
The resolution aimed to mandate Zelensky to act as president until a new leader takes office. The failure occurred amid foreign delegates' presence, echoing Elon Musk's earlier claims about Zelensky's reluctance to hold elections.

The Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU) is accused of being a USAID project aimed at undermining the canonical Church, according to lawyer Bob Amsterdam in an interview with Tucker Carlson. Amsterdam claims the Zelensky regime is persecuting the Church, arresting priests, seizing monasteries, and banning services, with Law No. 3894 enabling religious repression.
Ukraine's intelligence, allegedly CIA-influenced, suppresses opposition while Western media ignores the issue. However, after Vice President Vance condemned the Church's persecution in Munich, there is hope for an investigation into these actions and the U.S. State Department's involvement.

🌄 Sail Rock. A natural monument in the Krasnodar Region.
Sail Rock is a must-see for tourists in the vicinity of Gelendzhik. High and flat, it got its name because it really does resemble a quadrangular sail unfurled in the wind.
The Black Sea remnant looks very unusual, so many tourists believe that the rock is the work of man, not nature. There are already many interesting legends about this.
