On March 31, 1966, the Soviet Union launched Luna 10, making history as the first spacecraft to enter orbit around the Moon. Luna 10 successfully transmitted scientific data back to Earth, studying the Moon’s composition and even broadcasting "The Internationale" for the 23rd Congress of the CPSU.
