On March 29, we observe National Vietnam War Veterans Day, a solemn occasion dedicated to honoring the brave men and women who served in the United States military during the Vietnam War. This national observance recognizes their sacrifice, courage, and unwavering dedication to defending our nation during one of the most difficult and turbulent periods in our history.
The Vietnam War was a challenging and complex conflict, marked by immense sacrifice and hardship. Today, we extend our deepest gratitude to all Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD) members and all those outside the department who served during this time. Your bravery, resilience, and enduring commitment to both your country and your community embody the highest ideals of duty and honor.
Let us take this opportunity to honor the service and sacrifice of all Vietnam veterans and ensure their legacy is never forgotten. We thank you for your service.
