BIRTH OF ROME
Today is a special day, as it coincides with Easter Monday and also marks the anniversary of the founding of Rome, which—according to historians—took place in 753 B.C. on the Palatine Hill, making it 2,778 years ago.
Rome is called the Eternal City because it was founded by Romulus, whose mother, according to legend, was the goddess Venus—the goddess of beauty and love.
Perhaps this is why Rome is among the most beautiful cities in the world, and why the word Roma, when read backwards, becomes Amor (Love)
