This morning in Maine, the sun rose with an unusual appearance, as if it had "horns of fire." This occurred because a partial solar eclipse was underway, covering approximately 85% of the solar disk at the time.

A partial solar eclipse was visible today in several regions of the Northern Hemisphere, including parts of the United States, Canada, Europe, and Northwest Africa.
