SB1003 - Public Schools restroom accommodations
SB1069 - This is a tax reduction bill. It increases the business personal property tax exemption from $207,336 to $500,000
SB1091 - This is a transparency bill. It enables voters to understand that overrides have tax consequences
SB1243 Would move public comment to the beginning of public meetings such as school boards
SB1256 Prohibits the state or an agency, board, commission or department of the state from requiring participation in DEI
SB1427 - Each school in this state shall require each full-time administrative employee of the school to provide classroom instruction as a substitute teacher at least once per school year.
SB1441 Would make school boards partisan.
SB1472 - Requires that the budget submitted by school districts be for three years instead of just one
SB1689 - If the department of education determines in the department's judgment that a school district has committed an over expenditure, the department shall notify the county school superintendent of the county in which the school district is located and take any actions required by this section
SB1694 - higher education; withholding state monies if they offers one or more courses on diversity, equity and inclusion.
HB2058 - A student who is at least 18 years old may skip the proof of vaccination as a condition of admittance if he/she submits a statement expressing medical or religious concerns about being vaccinated.
HB2126 - Medical Records Parental Rights - Allows parents to access their children's medical records
HB2167 - School districts are required to maintain a uniform system of financial records. If the school district fails to correct a deficiency within ninety days after receiving notice from the auditor general, then the SPI is directed to withhold up to 10% of the moneys the district receives from the state. There are further penalties if the district continues to fail to comply
HB2169 - All board meetings must be conducted in a public facility and open to the public. Out-of-state travel expense must be approved by the board in an open meeting. All of this information must be available to the public
HB2438 Bans judges from amending sex on birth certificates.
HB2514 - Prescribes parent and eligible student notification and consent requirements for schools regarding the disclosure of directory information. Modifies requirements relating to the parental involvement policy adopted by a school district governing board (governing board).
HB2515 - Truth in Taxation Bonds Notice - This bill aims to prohibit deceptive practices
HB2722 - A public entity may not spend, loan or allow the use of public resources or use the public entity's taxing power in aid of any individual, association, corporation or other private party unless the expenditure, loan or use of public resources is for a public purpose, is supported by consideration and the public entity exercises continuing control over the expenditure, loan or use of public resources.
HCR2042 - Prohibits the state from granting preferential treatment to or discriminate against any individual or group on the basis of race, sex, color, ethnicity or national origin in the operation of public employment, public education or public contracting.
