🧭 What they’re not saying directly, but signaling:
Iraq-KRG unity is a prerequisite for rate reform
U.S. involvement = global alignment check
Peace in Türkiye & Syria = currency stability buffer
All arrows point to RV readiness phase
🌍Diplomacy = cover for economic realignment.

The Trump Administration has made one thing clear: We will apply maximum pressure on Iran and disrupt the regime’s oil supply chain and exports, which support terrorist proxies and partners.
Any refinery, company, or broker that chooses to purchase Iranian oil or facilitate Iran’s oil trade places itself at serious risk. We are prepared to take all actions available to get Iran’s energy exports down to zero, where they belong, and keep Americans safe.

🛢️ APIKUR LAST PRESS RELEASE
🚩This is the standoff for the oil in Kurdistan, With the Iraq government. They want their contracts honored and back pay for when the pipeline was shutdown in 2023 and they want it in writting what they will get for exports in the future.
March 28, 2025 👇Read
Designated International Oil Companies (IOCs), along with the Kurdistan Regional Government, have been negotiating in good faith with the Government of Iraq (GOI), including directly with Prime Minister Sudani’s office, to reach a resolution to resume exports through the Iraqi-Türkiye pipeline in accordance with our legal agreements and the Iraqi budget law.
We understand today the Ministry of Oil has demonstrated it is unwilling to negotiate a solution that honors IOCs contract sanctity and is attempting to establish a process to unilaterally alter the economic framework of legal and valid contracts between the KRG and IOCs.
These actions by the Ministry of Oil are not acceptable, and the member companies of APIKUR will not resume exports until there is commitment from the GOI to honor our contracts including payment surety for past and future exports.
- Ends - 🚩These are mostly US companies
About APIKUR:
APIKUR’s objective and purpose is to promote the KRI as an attractive destination for international oil and gas companies, service providers and investors. In addition, APIKUR aims to advocate for and represent the common interests of its members, function as a joint and effective voice towards all relevant stakeholders, whether in the KRI or elsewhere, and provide a forum for its members to share appropriate public industry information and best practices.

Prabowo, Russia's Manturov discuss Indonesia-Eurasian FTA progress
Indonesia's President Prabowo Subianto and Russia’s First Deputy Prime Minister, Denis Manturov, discussed progress on negotiations for a free trade agreement with Eurasian countries during a meeting in Jakarta on Tuesday.
Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto, who also attended the meeting, said Indonesia hopes to finalize the agreement during Prabowo's upcoming visit to St. Petersburg, Russia, later this year.
"We discussed the Indonesia-Eurasian free trade agreement and hope it can be completed when the President visits St. Petersburg," Hartarto said at a press conference following the meeting.
During the talks, Manturov invited Prabowo to attend the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) 2025, scheduled for June 18–21.
"The President is expected to attend the forum. Several cooperation milestones will be formalized in a memorandum of understanding (MoU), including initiatives on economic and strategic partnerships," Hartarto added.
Manturov also extended an invitation on behalf of the Russian government for Prabowo to attend the Victory Day parade in Moscow on May 9.
Prabowo welcomed Manturov at Merdeka Palace in Jakarta on Tuesday afternoon, where they held a bilateral meeting in the credential room.
Hartarto noted that Manturov is also scheduled to participate in a high-level Indonesia-Russia dialogue, which had previously been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Additionally, the Russian delegation expressed interest in increasing the number of direct flights from Moscow to various regions in Indonesia. Manturov also inquired about potential destinations for expanded air service.
According to Hartarto, investment development was another key topic of discussion during the meeting between Prabowo and Manturov.
