Our latest recipe of the week features a flavor profile we associate with this time of year here in the United States: pumpkin pie!

"The recipe uses lower temperatures and a special technique I’ve created to help keep the temperature of the mixture well below 110° F, which helps to keep all the benefits we love from the soured raw milk, the raw milk kefir, and the raw honey alive and well. Butter versus seed oils. Paul Saladino MD explains how each are made in this reel. Dr. Cate Shanahan calls seed oils "oxidative stress in a bottle" and asserts that all "diseases" come from oxidative stress. Dr. Chris Knobbe states that if you were to eliminate all seed oils from your diet today it would take 2 to 3 years for to be completely cleared out of your system. Virtually all industrially produced food contains seed oils, so the solution is to prepare your own food and use traditional fats such as butter, tallow, lard and olive oil. Avoid seed oils such as canola, corn, soy and so forth. If you do choose to purchase food that comes in boxes and cans, be sure to read labels!
