This world can have โStargateโโฆ Iโm going through the Shepherdโs gate!
โฌ๏ธ
Matthew 7:13-14
13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
โฌ๏ธ
John 10:7
Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.
โฌ๏ธ
John 14:6
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
โฌ๏ธ
Revelation 4:1
After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.

"Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things"

Follow Jesus today and you will reign with Him tomorrow. Reject Jesus today and you may not see tomorrow. 2 Timothy 2:11-12 says, "This is a faithful saying: For if we died with Him, we will also live with Him. If we endure, we will also reign with Him. If we deny Him, He will also deny us. If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself."

I tell you: ask, and you shall receive; seek, and you shall find: knock, and the door shall be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives; and everyone who seeks, finds; and to everyone who knocks the door will be opened.

Filling Our Cups With Hope

โ๏ธOne morning, my husband discovered Mara snuggled in bed next to him with a pen in hand, scribbling all over his Bible.
As he reached for the pen, Mara looked up and uttered the phrase, โHi, Daddy.โ
This would be a typical response for a three year old. But our daughter Mara is severely autistic and non-verbal.
So, when those words rolled off her tongue, my husbandโs eyes welled with tears.
He found himself overwhelmed with emotions. He was ecstatic to hear his little girlโs voice. But this moment poked a hole in the dam walls he built years prior.
You know the walls Iโm talking about.
The ones we build around our hearts.
No one gets in and nothing comes out.
The floodgates broke as he mourned the loss of the daughter he envisioned. He spoke of the pain a father feels when he doesnโt even know his own child. He complained to God how Mara lived in her own world and rarely acknowledged his presence.
God interrupted Gregโs lament and spoke these words to his heart:
I know your pain. I too am a Father and oftentimes, my children fail to acknowledge my presence.
Day-in-and-day-out, they repeat the same routine: Breakfast. Work. Dinner. Netflix. Bed.
They too live in their own little world. A world entrenched in hobbies, sports, materialism, binge-watching sitcoms, and Instagram surfing.
I try everything imaginable to get their attention. I send people into their lives to interrupt their routines. I answer big and small prayers in hopes they will know my heart.
I even went to the extreme of sending my Son, as an attempt to convey my love for them.
I donโt NEED them, but I desperately WANT them. They desperately NEED me, but donโt WANT me.
My greatest desire is for them to stop what they are doing and look into my eyes. I donโt have a list of rules for them to follow or a regimented agenda for their lives.
I just want a relationship.
And Iโm not mad.
I donโt care how many times they have scribbled all over my story.
I'm the original author of their lives and I'm crafting a beautiful taleโif they would only hand me the pen.
Until then, I will patiently wait for my child to look up and utter the words that cause my heart to skip a beatโฆ

Lord God Almighty,
We thank you because you have been gracious to us.
We come before you, O Lord. As the sun rises, may your hope rise up in us.
As the birds sing, let your love flow out of us.
As the light floods into this new day, may your joy shine through us.
We come before you, O Lord And drink in this moment of peace, That we may carry something of your hope, love, and joy today in our hearts.
As we go through today, we welcome the opportunities to contribute with the gifts that you have blessed us with, to the growth of the world.
I receive the opportunity to be used by you to bless others today.
I thank you and pray in Jesus' name,
Amen!

Give Thanks
A devout farmer was invited to dine with the refined gentleman. When he bowed his head to bless the food, his host mocked him him, "How old fashioned! Well educated people don't pray before meals anymore."
The farmer replied, "It's a habit of mine, but not all on my farm share it." The gentleman sneered, "Ah then they must be sensible and enlightened. Who are they?" The farmer's response was swift and humbling: "My pigs."
Many of those survivors show features survivalists catching food to eat and thanking the dead animal for providing them nourishment. Why do they thank animals and not the God who created them?
By likening those who don't give thanks to animals, the farmer gently yet powerfully emphasized the value of humility and appreciation. Let's all cultivate a heart of gratitude lest we resemble the farmer's pigs.
1 Thessalonians 5:18
In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
Psalms 136:3
O give thanks to the Lord of lords: for his mercy endureth for ever.

Even the gospels contain humor ๐
The Disciples Peter and John wanted to see who would reach the tomb first. Both wanted to see Jesus as soon as they could. And who the winner was? John. Hallelujah ๐๐ฝ He was as good at running as he was in spreading God's word.
Bless them both ๐๐ฝ๐
This is just a small amusing part in Scripture that you can find in the Holy Bible. There are more. Yet chapter 20 of the book of John isn't all fun. It also documents how extraordinary the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ was... and most importantly IS. He is our Living God, who will return at any moment. Have a blessed day further and remember to keep your lamp anointed with oil ๐ช
