“And then there’s the Atlanta Fed. Just last week, they projected Q1 GDP growth at 2.3%. Now? -1.5%. That’s a complete collapse in expectations, signaling that whatever “growth” the government was selling has disappeared overnight. Turns out, when debt-fueled government spending slows down, there’s not much real economy left.”
The Atlanta FED expected the first quarter GDP to be 2.3% but suddenly reversed it to negative -1.5%.
Why?
Most of the growth in GDP for the last four years was fueled by “increased government spending.”
It was money printing and government expanding growth.
The private sector was always struggling.
What’s changed?
Trump has ended the Ukrainian money laundering operation and is massively cutting government jobs.
He’s just getting started.
A large segment of the population (government employees) are now reducing personal spending big time and everyone is now in survival mode.
If the Atlanta FED is right and the GDP is negative, does that mean we are in recession?
They like to say that it takes two quarters of negative growth for an official recession.
But I think there are signals that the writing is on the wall and a recession is incoming.

If you're an American and want the Ukraine war to continue, especially one that very well could quickly descend into WW3, because you hate Putin then you're the problem in this situation. In fact, we know you are.
