Namibia's first female president Netumbo Nandi Ndaitwah has ordered the deportation of 500 US citizens in response to Donald Trump's deportation operations, which have been targeting mostly Africans.
She said that if you can't enter the US without a visa, then the same principle applies to Namibia: no American should set foot in the country without a visa. In fact, she decided to double the visa fee for US citizens.
She also said: "No African should need a visa to visit Namibia." She added that African nations should love and visit each other without bureaucratic barriers.
"The visa issue was invented by white people to control Africans and prevent them from going and reclaiming the natural resources that were stolen. Now we use the visa requirement to prevent them from coming back to further exploit our wealth, especially minerals."
