The testnet is online and actively being used by our dev team for Production Validation, Stress Testing, and Penetration Testing.
✅ All fungibles and historical data have been parsed, checked, and verified.
⚙️ We are fine-tuning network communication pooling and addressing one small, intermittent staking issue.
Once resolved, we’ll be able to provide exact timings for the resumption of essential chain activities.

Technical update of the past 2 weeks - What has been done & what's keeping us awake👀
The team has made fantastic progress and is in the final stages of preparation for community testnet access.
Completed:
☑️Core infrastructure ready:
☑️Mainnet - Brand new BPs and RPC bare metal servers + cloud servers built and ready to go.
☑️Testnet - Brand new cloud based BPs and RPC built and in use.
☑️Default Phantasma Testnet servers connected to new Phoenix Testnet servers.
☑️Seamless Testnet access within Poltergeist: Users can switch from Mainnet to Testnet via the Nexus setting to access Phoenix—No custom configuration needed.
☑️Poltergeist Lite updates: Added developer/tester mode for easier testing with test tokens.
☑️Explorer Impact on RPC Stability –
Fixed an issue with legacy explorer node, improving and streamlining its logic for requesting data from the chain.
☑️Data migration issue resolved: Stake balances and unclaimed KCAL now properly carried over.
☑️Stable transactions: Sending, receiving, staking, and claiming SOUL & KCAL are all working reliably.

As you may or may not be aware, we encountered a runtime issue with the legacy Phantasma codebase currently in production.
After three days of extensive analysis, our technical team concluded that instead of backporting a hotfix, the best path forward is to expedite the roll-out of the Phoenix update.
Turning Lemons into Lemonade 🍋
We had originally planned a slower rollout with a liveOps chain crossover. However, this unplanned outage presents an opportunity to pivot to a hard crossover, greatly speeding up the transition process.
🔹 Chain Upgrade Background
The Gen 4 chain code began in 2023, moved to full production in February 2024, and launched its first private testnet in September 2024—which has maintained uninterrupted uptime ever since.
Our new production-ready testnet (with the latest features and optimizations) has been launched and will be made public this week.

✅ Lightning-fast transactions
✅ Ultra-secure block production
✅ Explorer functionality
✅ Wallet integration with Poltergeist, Ecto, and Pavillion Hub
