The Battle of Vimy Ridge, fought in April 1917, is a pivotal moment in the development of Canadian national identity, it is a symbol of the "birth of the nation" due to the first time all four divisions of the Canadian Corps fought and sacrificed together. 

Today, more so than any other, we remember.

Friendly advice; choosing to not engage in public beratements of people who have wronged you is not taking the high road - it is an error.

All that happens is it enables an environment where those people can plausibly embrace a victim persona while subverting the opinions of others on you as you stay quiet.

There's quite a number of people that deserved to be burned down bigger and hotter than rubble pile of the world trade center but I chose to instead focus on the big picture - the public enemies inside government, police and media - while not letting myself get distracted by these malevolent, insecure, tiny people but in retrospect, perhaps I really should have.

The community that was created, grown and maintained over the years has been wonderful and positive for so many reasons. However, unfortunately with such an open door and welcoming posture it allowed dispersible scum to easily ingratiate themselves with many before it was clear what kind of people they truly were.

Fortunately for me, I am very lucky to have as many close friends and associates as I do stemming back to 2018-19 and earlier when there was no benefit to be had, no clout, no money to grift and no social attention points to try and use me to gain. They just appreciated me as a person, we became friends and remain so.

Due to my generally friendly nature, I have inadvertently platformed and lent support to characters and people who are far beneath being worthy of it from anyone. In the future I will be far less forgiving and uncharitable with my time, attention and support.
No offense to anyone who may mean well, but when you've been knifed in the back as many times as I have it just becomes a practical reality that you must accept or continue to be set up for this kind of treachery indefinitely.

For all of you real ones whom I know and those I don't, I appreciate your support and encouragement these past years. Especially when it wasn't easy or popular to do so.

For the rest, I have a long memory for grudges with a cold heart to match.

Saw this film "Warfare" with Morgan over the weekend.

I've been trying to digest and process what to say about it. For personal reasons and being a veteran, I can't say that I "enjoyed" it in the traditional sense of being entertained. It was more of an experience in revisiting an old life filled with laughs, anxiety and nightmares.

I don't think war movies should be made to be "entertaining" that you leave the theatre with feelings of joy, thrills or excitement. It's perhaps in contention for THE most serious subject matter and should be created respectfully in showcasing, as best you can with film, how cruel and difficult the experience can be. It's challenging for veterans to accurately relay what being in a situation of existential dread and horror is like, so I'm very grateful to the teams that re-create snapshots in time such as this that are both respectful and accurate.

No movie, video game or media can prepare someone for the real thing or give a truly comprehensive understanding - but as far as movies go - this one did as well as you can in displaying what a pretty below average Tuesday might look like for a soldier on operations in 2006.

It is very well made and realistic.

You've been warned.

Certainly in Canada but a general theme across the west is the military is a shambling mess suffering brutal attrition, critical equipment shortages (Ukraine grift), burnout, under funding and low morale. If everyone opts out and stays home while the state demands you go and die for it's jewish financiers, it leaves no one to man the ranks of the military and police.

The military and police that the state needs to protect itself from you.

Rejecting military and police service is one of the most patriotic and pro-folk things anyone can do.
