Haaretz: The Situation In Gaza Is No Longer A War, But An Unrestrained Assault On Civilians
In the absence of any real military targets, Israel is waging a reckless offensive against those who are in no way involved in the fighting against it. Gazans are forced to choose between death and displacement to 'safe zones' that are far from safe
Even those who don't believe most of the people killed in Gaza are innocent cannot deny the horrific pictures of the humanitarian disaster there. The use of the word "war" for what is going on in Gaza is misleading and distorted. What's happening in Gaza is not war. It's an unbridled Israeli assault on people who are mostly uninvolved in any activity against it.
Israel's "target bank" has long run dry. No administration buildings or "terror infrastructure" remain, and there's no way to tell if all Hamas' tunnels have been destroyed. Israel's current terror targets are the militants who were seen in the video clips of the hostage releases. But there's no way to know if they're Hamas operatives or just actors and extras. In any case, following each of them could take months or years. If that's the parameter for the "total victory" the prime minister aspires to, there's a long way to go.
Israel is attacking from the air, ground and sea densely populated civilian sites in the Gaza Strip – encampments for refugees and displaced people, shaky buildings that still serve as shelters, like hospitals and UNWRA schools. The IDF spokesperson may speak of a "safe zone," but in Gaza, nobody's heard of that term.
Israel says there's terrorism in those places too, that Hamas uses civilians as human shields, that Hamas activists are hiding in the population. This was claimed again this week after the attack on an Al Ahali Hospital building in Gaza City.
In reality, the only figures available show that most of the people who were killed and wounded in the last round of attacks were civilians, mostly women and children. Even if one doubts these figures' source – the Hamas-run Gaza health ministry – the pictures don't lie.
According to the ministry's figures, since the end of the cease-fire on March 18, 1,691 people have been killed in Gaza. 595 of them are children, 308 women and 105 elderly people. Even assuming the rest of those killed are militants and terrorists, it's likely that most of those killed are not involved in terror.
But apart from these killed people, we should remember: the humanitarian catastrophe taking place in Gaza now is placing two million Gazans on the brink of death by starvation and from diseases.
For more than a month, the Gaza Strip has been completely closed. Only those who have asked to leave are permitted to do so, and Israel boasts of it. Every medical and humanitarian system has collapsed, along with education and social systems.
Israel's excuse for this is that pressure on the population will yield results in the negotiations to release the hostages. Hamas claims that releasing the hostages in one round is possible if Israel agrees to end the war. But Netanyahu is demanding to disarm Hamas and to make it renounce every emblem of control and government.
Such a demand won't solve the differences...

Fifteen US Airstrikes Hit Yemen’s Marib Province, Amid Reports of Potential US Ground Invasion
Fifteen US airstrikes hit districts in Yemen’s Marib province on Monday, Yemen’s SABA news agency reported , as the daily US bombing campaign on the country continues.
Marib is in the eastern part of Houthi-controlled Yemen, which is where 80% of Yemenis live. The province was the site of heavy ground fighting between the Houthis and Saudi-backed forces in 2021 during the US-backed Saudi/UAE war on Yemen, which hasn’t officially ended but has been frozen since a 2022 ceasefire.
The 2022 ceasefire ended Saudi airstrikes on Yemen, but there have been occasional flare-ups on the ground , including in Marib, and Saudi shelling across the Saudi-Yemen border.
The US strikes on Marib come amid reports that the US and Saudi-backed government, which is based in Saudi Arabia, may be preparing forces for a ground assault against the Houthis, who are officially known as Ansar Allah. While the government’s leadership is based in Saudi Arabia, its allied forces are in the eastern and southern parts of Yemen.
Ahmed Hassan, a commentator based in Yemen, said in a post on X that the US attacks on Marib could be an indication that a ground offensive is imminent since the strikes hit areas where the Houthis have defensive lines.

Lebanon Information Minister: Over 2,700 Israeli Ceasefire Violations Reported
Lebanese Information Minister Paul Morcos revealed on Thursday that his country has documented over 2,700 ceasefire violations committed by Israel since the ceasefire went into effect on November 26.
The ceasefire was meant to end the Israeli invasion and occupation of southern Lebanon, but Israeli ground troops have remained in post on Lebanese soil and they continue to carry out daily attacks against Lebanon, both of which violate the letter and spirit of the ceasefire.
The constant Israeli attacks during the ceasefire have resulted in at least 190 deaths and 485 injuries. Morcos also noted that the ceasefire terms, which include Lebanese Army forces moving into the southern part of the country, have been hindered because of the continued presence of Israeli forces there, and constant drone strikes.
The Israeli attacks show no sign of slowing down, and more airstrikes were reported overnight and into early Thursday. At night, Israel carried out multiple attacks against southern Lebanon, claiming it was targeting “Hezbollah infrastructure.”
Details are unclear on the pretext for labeling these sites Hezbollah infrastructure, and as usual Israel is less than forthcoming with evidence. The reports are that the airstrikes were near Ramyeh, a village adjacent to Ayta ash-Shaab, which is a popular target for Israeli forces.

Lebanese Information Minister Paul Morcos revealed on Thursday that his country has documented over 2,700 ceasefire violations committed by Israel since the ceasefire went into effect on November 26.
The ceasefire was meant to end the Israeli invasion and occupation of southern Lebanon, but Israeli ground troops have remained in post on Lebanese soil and they continue to carry out daily attacks against Lebanon, both of which violate the letter and spirit of the ceasefire.
The constant Israeli attacks during the ceasefire have resulted in at least 190 deaths and 485 injuries. Morcos also noted that the ceasefire terms, which include Lebanese Army forces moving into the southern part of the country, have been hindered because of the continued presence of Israeli forces there, and constant drone strikes.
The Israeli attacks show no sign of slowing down, and more airstrikes were reported overnight and into early Thursday. At night, Israel carried out multiple attacks against southern Lebanon, claiming it was targeting “Hezbollah infrastructure.”
Details are unclear on the pretext for labeling these sites Hezbollah infrastructure, and as usual Israel is less than forthcoming with evidence. The reports are that the airstrikes were near Ramyeh, a village adjacent to Ayta ash-Shaab, which is a popular target for Israeli forces.

I wrote 80% of it May and June 2024 after I reflected back on our conversations and put pieces together which I missed initially, when trying to figure out why he switched up like he did. I observed and gathered more information, contextualizing it, drawing clarity and confirmation, and am now telling the story of how and why Aaron Nelson switched up on me after being hired for Vigilant News. The album isn't just about Aaron and me, but the industry. The so-called "Independent" media industry.
I discuss the take-down of Riley Vuyovich and what motivated Aaron to destroy her reputation with a smear-job hit piece - overlapping with his motivation to toss me aside for not compromising on Israel.
I assisted Aaron / AJ Nelson with the Riley hit piece, gathering most of the screenshots and information for it - and I now know I was wrong for that. (I'm sorry again Riley :/ )
We were fine sitting on the info for a year until Robert Malone began attacking TWC (Aaron recently had begun working for VNN, sister company to TWC founded by same person - Foster Coulson).... All the sudden Aaron decided its time to ruin her career and reputation - clearly to take heat of TWC and deflect the drama in the Medical Freedom community. He later was taking heat from Simon Goddek (@goddek) and actively trying to obscure his links between TWC, VNN, WCH and the Riley situation. I didn't realize the significance of a lot of these interactions between me and him until I contextualized it later on.
I found a Dec 2023 Robin Monotti (@robinmg) tweet discussing his removal from a TG channel by a TWC affiliate after I was kicked (Apr 25th 2024), that was from the same time period when Malone was amplifying criticism of TWC, right before Aaron decided to release / released the hit piece on her on Jan 6th/7th.
I don't believe Riley is the monster she was made out to be. I do believe Aaron Nelson is a sociopathic sell-out propagandist for hire who took advantage of my trust in him, and is willing to run cover for zionist spooks / ops and their agenda.
I do believe a lot of "independent" media has been astroturfed, through infiltration and financial capture. I don't believe grifters always start off as grifters, or propagandists as propagandists. Many go in with good intentions and get beaten down in an industry financially choked by years of censorship and demonetization. And Greed and Envy and Ego take control. But that's not how God made me. I think Aaron knows what he has been doing, and who he has been serving, is wrong. He just sold out.
This may sound like anger, but really it's sadness.

🇷🇺 Russian Ruble Outperforms All Global Currencies Against the Dollar in 2025
Since the start of the year, the Russian ruble has recorded the strongest growth against the U.S. dollar among all major world currencies — even outperforming gold, according to Bloomberg.
Bloomberg’s data shows that the ruble has surged 38% against the dollar in over-the-counter trading since January. By comparison, gold — widely seen as the world’s top safe-haven asset — has risen by 23% in the same period.
Other notable gains include the Swedish krona, which strengthened by 14%, and the Swiss franc by 11%. Silver also climbed 12%.
What makes the ruble’s rise particularly striking is that it’s happening despite falling oil prices — a development that typically weakens the Russian currency. Traditionally, lower oil revenues pressure the ruble as Russia adjusts its exchange rate to maintain stable budget income in ruble terms.
This year, however, the trend has reversed: oil prices are dropping, yet the ruble is gaining ground.
Analysts link this to growing investor confidence that the war in Ukraine may soon come to an end, boosting interest in Russian assets — especially government bonds. The ruble has shown a pattern of strengthening after positive news from peace negotiations and weakening after setbacks.
