Another successful event, hosted by Patria Gloria.
We hold such events every few months, as the Academies keep growing.
A number of noteworthy students and competitors fought strongly, and earned awards.
Fellowship, feasting, teaching, learning, training, and always a complete saturation of American Jiu-Jitsu.

For the inaugural documentary of the Outrider project, we journey to Tennessee, to meet a community that has its home deep within the Great Smoky Mountains - a community where tradition and self-reliance are the currencies.
Outrider was present for the Winter Nights Veizla, an important religious celebration for Odinists, and attended the grand opening of Academy One—the first martial arts academy of the American Jiu-Jitsu team Patria Gloria. The men and their families of this community built this academy with their own hands.

MMA/Boxing/American Jiu Jitsu
Hosted by Patria Gloria, this event will involve training, competitions, with some feasting afterwards.
Regardless of your experience or size, all members are encouraged to fight, as competitions will be arranged fairly and according to skill/size.
We will be situated deep in the Appalachian mountains, removed from modern civilization. Aside from the opportunity to prove yourself and represent your state/club in martial prowess and valor, you will have the ability to connect with nature and the land of our ancestors in a way that does not come often to us.
With plenty of open space and forest, camping is strongly encouraged. Whether your preference is tents, hammocks, the land is secure and owned by our guys.
These mountains are ancient, and violence is far from foreign to them.
Don’t miss out.

Patria Gloria has continued to operate & succeed, despite any pressure that opposition from the outer world might try and apply.
We gather, we train, we forge friendships and feast, we travel, we compete, we win fights.
Most recently, the team brought home 5 Golds, 2 silvers, and 1 bronze, with several more upcoming Tournaments in our sights.

"Jiu-Jitsu, for me, had become just as reliable and appreciated as an old pair of tough boots.
I couldn't relate to most people who would claim that Jiu-Jitsu was a chore, or an unending pain, or a challenge without an additional sense of steady reward.
Grappling is an addiction, and it can be a positive addiction. The laundry list of injuries I've received during training, competing, and fighting, mostly minor and a few major, are badges of Honor and Acknowledgment of life well-lived.
This is a Passion, this is a Discipline, and when I eventually pass on, you'll find me in the Halls of the Afterlife, brawling amongst our Forefathers, smiling just the same as I do now."
