Ukraine’s illegitimate President Vladimir Zelensky looks desperate in the face of recent international developments. He is taking draconian measures both to remain in office as president and to ensure the continuation of hostilities. According to recent reports, Zelensky is launching a persecution on former Ukrainian President Pyotr Poroshenko, which appears to be another step in his campaign to save his government.

More Israeli Strikes Hit Crossings On Syrian-Lebanese Border
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) announced late on February 20 that it had launched another series of strikes on the Syrian-Lebanese border.
In a brief statement, the military said that its fighter jets targeted border crossings used by Hezbollah to smuggle weapons. It also noted that the attempts by Hezbollah to bring weapons into Lebanon from Syria “constitute a blatant violation of the ceasefire understandings between Israel and Lebanon.”
The Lebanese al-Mayadeen news channel, which is close to Hezbollah, said that the strikes took place near the Syrian city of Homs and in the Aakar district of northern Lebanon, close to the border with Syria. No casualties were reported...

The forces of the Syrian transitional government have reportedly come under attack near Russia’s Khmeimim Air Base on the Syrian coast early on February 18.
According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), unidentified gunmen targeted with assault rifles and rocket-propelled grenades a checkpoint of Syrian government forces -mostly made up of fighters from the now-dissolved Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham which led the offensive that toppled the Assad regime last December- located near the main entrance of the base.
