What snake oil salesman and war criminal Tony Blair won't tell you is that behind the scenes there are serious issues with the GOV.UK One Login system.
According to a whistleblower this week, many reported problems since 2022 still haven't been addressed.
In September 2023, the National Cyber Security Centre [NCSC] contacted the head of the UK Government Digital Service [GDS] citing severe shortcomings, top level risks including bulk personal data breach and risk of impersonation leading to mass fraud.
In summary, should the UK Government continue its launch of the GOV.UK digital wallet underpinned by the One Login system with its existing and serious vulnerabilities, it could only take one serious breach to plunge us all into disaster.

Five years ago, yesterday, Matt Hancock introduced the Coronavirus Act to Parliament on 19th March 2020.
It went through all of its stages in one day on 23rd March prior to Boris Johnson telling UK residents to 'stay at home'.
The Act then received Royal Assent on 25th March 2020.
Hancock recently said at the UK COVID Inquiry that he'd go through everything again, including his dodgy PPE deals, but the rest of public won't.
The Public Health [Control of Disease] 1984 Act was central to producing the Coronavirus Act. While the PHA needs to be reformed, the Coronavirus Act must be repealed.
We cannot have such an Act on the UK statute book lying dormant only to be activated in the future.

Blair's expert on Digital ID, Yiannis Theodorou, says, "the biggest myth is that digital ID is about mass surveillance".
He's wrong. These systems can be used to conduct mass surveillance of a population regardless of legal frameworks/standards.
We have idealised promises by the state and those like TBI & then their actual implementation.
What has worked for Estonia and other countries with high trust in government doesn't necessarily mean those deliverables will be the exact same for the UK or work out long term.
There are real concerns about data privacy and centralisation of power.
The UK has a bad record with keeping public data safe and awarding eye watering contracts to very questionable entities like Palantir.
Bad actors aren't always e-criminals, they also exist in government.
