Dear all,
We've had some positive news back from the HoC Petitions Committee.
They've agreed to some ever so slight changes in our text and will likely publish our 'Repeal the Coronavirus Act' e-petition in the next few days.
Thank you to those who stepped up to initially sign and get this checked by the Petitions Committee.
Once this goes live, then the real work begins. In order to get this issue debated at Westminster Hall, we'll need at least 100,000 people in the UK to back our petition.
The entire purpose of what we're doing is to generate national conversation and bring the Coronavirus Act legislation back into the public sphere, further pressuring MP's to debate this in the Commons and/or vote for its full repeal.
Thank you for your support and stay tuned!

We couldn’t get away with it in Europe, we thought, and [then], we realised we could
Neil Ferguson of Imperial College London, who produced computer modelled research in early 2020 exclaiming 500,000+ Britons could die without social distancing and lockdown.

What snake oil salesman and war criminal Tony Blair won't tell you is that behind the scenes there are serious issues with the GOV.UK One Login system.
According to a whistleblower this week, many reported problems since 2022 still haven't been addressed.
In September 2023, the National Cyber Security Centre [NCSC] contacted the head of the UK Government Digital Service [GDS] citing severe shortcomings, top level risks including bulk personal data breach and risk of impersonation leading to mass fraud.
In summary, should the UK Government continue its launch of the GOV.UK digital wallet underpinned by the One Login system with its existing and serious vulnerabilities, it could only take one serious breach to plunge us all into disaster.

"The fundamental issue is simple: encryption is mathematics and mathematics doesn’t discriminate between a government investigator and a criminal hacker — a back door is a back door and if it’s there, anyone can enter."

People are comfortable with WhatsApp because a lot of their contacts use this application. This is the usual default.
If you value private communication, there are better choices out there like Session, SimpleX and of course, Signal.
Consider making the change today because in this ever growing digital age, we really need to take our privacy more seriously.

In autumn, the GOV.UK One Login system will be mandatory under ECCT legislation for company directors and others with corporate control.
These actions demonstrate how quickly such ID requirements could shift to everyone else in society. Voluntary at first, then legislatively enforced later on.

Facebook are like digital syphilis. It is one of the worst applications you could ever use on a mobile device, and if you do, you're asking to be tracked, surveilled and targeted with advertising.
O'Carroll's result is commendable and more power to her, but we've little empathy when you're using/sharing personal identifiable and linkable data for over 20 years with a company who's overall business model is data collection and targeted advertising.
If you're using Facebook, stop doing so and shut it down permanently.

🚨 REPEAL THE CORONAVIRUS ACT 🚨
Five years ago today, the former PM Boris Johnson told the UK public to stay at home.
Coronavirus Act [2020] legislation, still on the statute book, was rushed through all of its Parliamentary stages that day with little debate or scrutiny
Find and contact your local MP from the link: https://members.parliament.uk/FindYourMP
Copy / paste the following text to your MP:
The Coronavirus Act 2020 must be fully repealed.
Most powers lapsed in 2022, yet its framework lingers risking future democratic overreach.
Repeal restores normal oversight, ends emergency-era controls, and reflects lessons learned from COVID-19. Temporary measures should not outlast their need.
If all you can do is share content at this time, please do so and help our message reach as many people as possible in the UK.

🚨 REPEAL THE CORONAVIRUS ACT 2020 🚨
It's time to have a national conversation on fully repealing Coronavirus legislation from the UK statute book.
We need at least 100,000 signatures to get this topic debated at Westminster Hall.
The UK Coronavirus Act [2020] involved the largest expansion of executive power ever witnessed since the Second World War.
Supporting this e-petition sends a clear message to the current and future governments that we will never again accept such draconian legislation in our society.
PLEASE SIGN AND SHARE THIS ON ALL PLATFORMS.
THE CORONAVIRUS ACT 2020 MUST BE REPEALED!

Amadeus IT claim that their system would delete all passenger biometric data in 15 seconds after verification.
While that may be true for company compliance within privacy laws, we must also understand that governments have their own data retention policies.
We need more contextualisation. There's things that happen outside the control of this 'Journey Pass'.
States can retain biometric data for days, months, even years after collection. So Amadeus' 15 second rule is a type of 'buy in' that offers people a false sense of privacy.
Within the 15 second window of verification for this so called seamless travel experience, and depending on data sharing agreements, a 'hand-off' could occur whereby governments retain a copy of such data before deletion takes place.
There is a much more complex ecosystem at play here.

Five years ago, yesterday, Matt Hancock introduced the Coronavirus Act to Parliament on 19th March 2020.
It went through all of its stages in one day on 23rd March prior to Boris Johnson telling UK residents to 'stay at home'.
The Act then received Royal Assent on 25th March 2020.
Hancock recently said at the UK COVID Inquiry that he'd go through everything again, including his dodgy PPE deals, but the rest of public won't.
The Public Health [Control of Disease] 1984 Act was central to producing the Coronavirus Act. While the PHA needs to be reformed, the Coronavirus Act must be repealed.
We cannot have such an Act on the UK statute book lying dormant only to be activated in the future.

Blair's expert on Digital ID, Yiannis Theodorou, says, "the biggest myth is that digital ID is about mass surveillance".
He's wrong. These systems can be used to conduct mass surveillance of a population regardless of legal frameworks/standards.
We have idealised promises by the state and those like TBI & then their actual implementation.
What has worked for Estonia and other countries with high trust in government doesn't necessarily mean those deliverables will be the exact same for the UK or work out long term.
There are real concerns about data privacy and centralisation of power.
The UK has a bad record with keeping public data safe and awarding eye watering contracts to very questionable entities like Palantir.
Bad actors aren't always e-criminals, they also exist in government.
