Over the past day, IDF troops under the Southern Command—including both active duty and reservists have begun extensive ground operations throughout the northern and southern Gaza Strip as part of “Gideon’s Chariots".

Over the past week, the Israeli Air Force conducted a preliminary wave of strikes, striking over 670 Hamas terror targets throughout the Gaza Strip to disrupt enemy preparations and support ground operations. Among the targets struck were weapon storage facilities, underground terrorist infrastructure sites, anti-tank missile launchers as well as terrorists. The Israeli Air Force continues to provide consistent support to operating troops in the Gaza Strip.

Thus far, the troops eliminated dozens of terrorists, dismantled terrorist infrastructure sites above and below ground, and are currently being deployed in key positions within the Gaza Strip.

IDF: The IDF Eliminated the Deputy Head of Hezbollah’s Unit 4400

Earlier today (Sunday), the IAF conducted an intelligence-based strike on the terrorist Hussein Ali Nasr, who served as deputy head of Hezbollah’s Unit 4400.

During his role, Nasr operated to smuggle weapons and funds into the State of Lebanon in order to rebuild the Hezbollah terrorist organizations' military capabilities. As part of this effort, he collaborated with Iranian operatives to facilitate the transfer of weapons and funds into Lebanon, including through the Beirut International Airport.

Nasr maintained contact with employees of the airport who secretly operate for Hezbollah and assist with smuggling operations. In addition, he promoted and led weapons procurement deals with smugglers along the Syria-Lebanon border. Moreover, he oversaw the terrorist organizations' reinforcement and military build-up process.

During the "Swords of Iron" war, and as part of operation "Northern Arrows", the IAF, guided by precise intelligence, conducted extensive strikes and targeted eliminations aimed at disrupting the 4400 unit’s ongoing activities and the weapons smuggling routes used the Hezbollah terrorist organization in Lebanon.

Furthermore, the commander of Unit 4400 Muhammad Ja’far Qasir was eliminated along with his deputy Ali Hassan Gharib.

Joint IDF and Mossad Announcement:

The Mossad and the IDF have recovered and returned to Israel the body of the missing soldier, Sergeant First Class Tzvika Feldman, who fell in the Battle of Sultan Yacoub 43 years ago.

In a special operation led by the IDF and the Mossad, the body of Sergeant First Class Tzvika Feldman was located in the heart of Syria and returned to Israel. Following the recovery, the body was identified at the Military Rabbinate's Genomic Center for Identifying Fallen Soldiers, and the family was notified by the IDF in the presence of the Prime Minister.

The return of Sergeant First Class Tzvika Feldman to Israel was conducted through a complex and covert operation, enabled by precise intelligence and the application of operational capabilities that demonstrated ingenuity and steadfast courage.

This marked the completion of an extensive intelligence and operational effort that spanned over four decades, carried out through close cooperation and joint work between the Missing Persons and Hostages coordinators in the Prime Minister’s Office, the intelligence and operational units of the Mossad and IDF’s Intelligence Directorate, along with the ISA and the IDF's Personnel Directorate.

This operation brings long-awaited closure, following a previous operation in which Sergeant First Class Zechariah Baumel was returned in 2019, made possible through research efforts, intelligence gathering, and numerous operations conducted in enemy territory.

The family of the missing soldier, Sergeant First Class Yehuda Katz, was informed about the return of Sergeant First Class Tzvika Feldman, along with updates on the ongoing efforts to locate their loved one.

The Israeli defense establishment will continue to operate tirelessly, day and night, with deep commitment to bringing home all of our sons and daughters, whether living, fallen, missing, or abducted, back to Israel.

IDF: The IDF Strikes Houthi Terrorist Infrastructure in Yemen

A short while ago, IDF fighter jets struck and dismantled Houthi terrorist infrastructure at the main airport in Sana’a, fully disabling the airport. The strike was carried out in response to the attack launched by the Houthi terrorist regime against Ben Gurion Airport. Flight runways, aircraft, and infrastructure at the airport were struck.

Similar to the Hudaydah Port that was struck yesterday, the airport served as a central hub for the Houthi terrorist regime to transfer weapons and operatives. It has been routinely used by the Houthi regime for terrorist purposes. This underscores the Houthi terrorist regime’s brutal exploitation of civilian infrastructure for terrorist activity.

Furthermore, several central power plants were struck in the Sana’a area. The terrorist regime exploits energy infrastructure—an additional example of the Houthi regime’s use of Yemeni civilian infrastructure for terrorist purposes.

In addition, the IDF struck the “Al Imran” Concrete Plant, located north of Sana’a, which serves as a significant resource for the Houthi terrorist regime and is used for the construction of underground tunnels and other terrorist infrastructure. This strike further degrades the Houthi regime’s economic and military buildup capabilities.

The strikes were carried out with prevision, and steps were taken to mitigate harm to civilians and civilian infrastructure.

This operation was approved by the Commanding Officer of the IAF and the Chief of the General Staff.

Over the past year and a half, the Houthi terrorist regime has been operating under Iranian direction and funding, with the goal of targeting the State of Israel and its allies, undermining regional stability, and disrupting global freedom of navigation.

The IDF is determined to continue operating—at any distance—against all threats posed to the citizens of the State of Israel.
