Join me this Wednesday at 10pm EST as I interview Hrafna from Wheat & Sky and get to know this multitalented Folkish flower fairy. From jewelry crafting, rune craft, herbalism and many gifts in between, Hrafna is a fascinating and capable member of our artistic community and creates so much beauty in all she does. Thank you all so much for sharing my work and for all of the kind words! I didn't use any reference photos for this piece, and there is something about that that feels really good. It gives me confidence in knowing that I have the ability to create from my mind's eye rather than just replicating what I see with my two physical eyes.
There is nothing wrong with using references, and it definitely helps with proportions, but it's still fun to create without them too!

My Allegory of Spring piece is slowly coming along! I promise she won't look so goth by the time she's finished. 😆
I wanted to break away from realism with this piece and just have fun with some bold line work for sort of a stained glass effect. Will embellish with engraving pen, gold leaf, real pressed flowers, and perhaps some soft colored pencil (we'll see).

Working on a new design for a wood burning today in honor of spring. This time I'm going for more of a folk art style. I plan on adding gold leaf, real dried pressed flowers, and epoxy resin. 🌸

I have been a little less active on here, taking a bit of a breather between markets and working on personal projects as well as experimenting on bringing ideas to life and continuing to prepare inventory.
Today I am happy to share with you one of my latest. Chainmail flowers, white moonstone and irregular natural freshwater pearls. These were designed with the delicate yet resilient nature of what I feel it means to be a woman in mind. I will make a very limited amount of these in different stones but all keeping within the pale / white tones alongside silver.
