This set of Mithraic prayer cards was bought from Galina Krasskova's Etsy store, WyrdCuriosities. Very neat and handy.
Revelation #4: "Acts of Marring"

The physical body is not usually without natural blemishes. However, the Healer rules that one can mar the body through excess modification, whether through piercing, tattooing, or genital mutilation. Getting a modest amount of inkwork done under the skin or a few reserved piercings is not problematic and might be tolerated. However, given over to excess, this leads to marring, and is therefore impermissible. Circumcision of the foreskin, and any removal of the external vaginal parts are forbidden. Sincerely, these words form an entire commandment in defense of the body's natural purity.
Envisioning Mithraic Doctrine

Mithraic doctrine, if it was to be summarized in written form, can be characterized by cosmic dualism. Influenced by Zoroastrianism, it portrays a world in which Light and Goodness struggle against Darkness and Evil. There could be a presumption that, in prehistoric times, the forces of Evil arose to overthrow those of the Light and Goodness; however, they were defeated, sent hellward, but managed to escape, and now wander the earth, hoping to one day rise up again in rebellion and to prevail against the forces of Light and Goodness. [This heavily compares with the Christian struggle of God versus the Devil, and the Zoroastrian struggle of Ahura-Mazdā versus Ahriman.]

Jesus of Nazareth as Sol Invictus

Housed underneath St. Peter's Basilica within Rome's Vatican Necropolis is an interesting tomb ceiling mosaic built for Julius Tarpeianus and his family. It contains a depiction of Jesus of Nazareth, modeled after the late Roman sun-deity Sol (or Sol Invictus). Sol was often equated with other sun-deities, namely Apollo, Helios, and Mithras. Its survival as a piece of iconography attests to the fact of the early Christians appropriating pre-Christian icons, symbols, and motifs for their own use: in this case, to communicate to the people the "light of the world" embodied by the messiah.

Eternal Victorious Light

The Roman Mithraist religion centered entirely on 'Deus Sol Invictus Mithras' – the 'Unconquered Light' associated with the sun and other cosmic powers of life, fertility, abundance, and prosperity. He was honored in worship as the source of reciprocal friendship and the immortal energies.

Vikernes and Cachet's Book

In a booklet authored by Varg Vikernes and Marie Cachet, entitled Paganism Explained, Part III: The Cult of Mithra & Hymiskviða, the content regarding the Mithraic cult is described in a single word – disfavorable.
(Truly, this book hardly describes Mithraism at even a basic level.)

Notable to some members of the Pagan community is the "placenta-cultism" as envisioned by said Vikernes and Cachet. Allegedly, Cachet has more of a hand in this bizarre metaphorical interpretation of Pagan myths and lore. While plenty of others have dug the material and enjoyed it, it cannot be recommended at all by this channel. In fact, if you were to read just the first few pages, much of a gross misinterpretation would follow. It seems more bizarre that this book even has almost a 100% rating on the Amazon store.

Truly, this work is unbearable and unworthy of the paper on which it is printed. Nothing more, nothing less. Placenta metaphors, out.

The Abrahamic Question

While this is not a political channel, there remains a crucial necessity to remember and point out that the current spiritual atmosphere, global political establishments, and recognized civil societies, broadly, stand in stark opposition to everything the natural religions represent and advocate. It is not enough to say that possible coexistence with the ruling religious tradition (Abrahamism) is a strained endeavor, but is met, as demonstrated here, with harsh and open disdain. Pagans everywhere of all traditions, including anyone that might be a devout adherent of the Metskish-Runen, must stand vigilantly and be ready to always defend themselves physically and spiritually. Even as Yosef Mizrachi here, a well-known Haredi preacher, condemns Christianity as idol-worship, his sermon expresses nothing but vitriolic judgement against us. We should be mindful of whomever we choose to associate. We must always be tactfully civil around outsiders yet never let our guard down.

The Invincible Sun

"Elagabalus venerated the Sun god and introduced his cult into Rome under the title deus Sol invictus, that is, the invincible, undefeated or unconquered sun god. Emperor Aurelian, Roman emperor from A.D. 270 to 275, decreed the Unconquered Sun as supreme god of the Roman Empire. Mithra, a god of Persian origin, was part of the Sun cult worship."

This appears to be a labyrinth-style painting of Mehr (or Mithra). No further information could be found.

Mithraic Initiations Reconstructed
[Anonymous]
"He brings dearth and sorrow wherever he goes along the surface of tbe earth; temptation is his hidden weapon against the vulnerable; under his dominion await monsters and nightmarish abominations; under his control are those afflicted by material constraint; from birth until death, one who serves him serves the enslavement of himself; he is the originator behind chaotic activities and sinfulness and terrible suffering of extraordinary magnitude; he is the omnimalevolent disseminator of corruption and misfortune, the archdevil of the demons, and there is never any peace or sense of justice and prosperity so long as he is able to abide; and he is the ultimate enemy of righteousness."

The Real Priority

Not just from a Mithraic stance—but from one dedicated to an honor-based code of ethics—our real receiver of pleasure and service is not our material selves, but to both God and Folk. Everywhere around us, in 2025, selfishness has prevailed as the dominant attitude, the real priority. "Me, me, me, all about me," from choices of food to how we manage and handle our bodies.

We must rewire our brains to shift focus of appeasement away from ourselves and redirect it toward the almighty and to our communities, be it civic, ethnic, or otherwise. We must carry a future forward worthy of being retold.

We must understand the real priority.
The Essentialness of Experience

We must not make the mistake of conflating existence with experience. Alone, existence is neutral fact of reality. But to go beyond merely existing is to experience what must be experienced, what remains essential to spiritual progress. An apple is an apple in general, but it contains seeds, the source of future development of life. We must strive for experience in the mystical sense of the world, in direct communication with the superior essence in which we call God, or the Ultimate. Understandimg this distinction is vital and rewarding, verily.

Fatalism

"Embrace your fate."

Purport: Regardless of whatever awaits us, both here now and in the worlds hereafter, go forth into that tale of predestination with a smile and full contentment. Just as the Healer accepted his rightful place in and beyond the galaxies, all dignified people accept what has been chosen for them.
If I was called to write on the Anointed One's behalf, so be it; for I pave the way forward for a newfangled spiritual path. Out of the ashes of the ruins emerges a flame of a new glowing ember of a new religion.

"Besides Sol and Apollo, Roman mythology encompasses several other solar deities that contribute to the multifaceted tapestry of solar worship. Mithras, a Persian god incorporated into Roman beliefs, became especially popular during the late Roman era. Mithras, often depicted slaying a bull, personifies the sun’s invigorating energy and acts as a mediator between the heavens and the earth."

Misunderstandings about the mystery-religions's impact on the earliest developments of Christianity are common. In this short mini-essay, we shall address the attempted rebuke of this reality put out by Christian Ministries International.

Christian Ministries International claims, rather than their belief system adopting the elements of the mystery-cults, that it was the mystery-cults that adopted elements of Christianity. It states, "All cults take pieces of true Christianity, but then twist them to fit their own man-made religious views seeking to lead people astray." It also claims the following: "...that the more likely scenario is not that the early church borrowed the resurrection story from pagan religions, but it was these mystery religions that stole the concept from the early Christian church following the true, historical resurrection of Jesus..." In the context of the Mithraic mystery-cult specifically, a common counterargument declares the supposed historical fact in which mystery-cults did not spring up in Persia, Greece, and Rome until two centuries following Jesus's crucifixion. This simply is not true. There is evidence, for instance, that Mithra (or Mehr) had a cultic following in the Persian world prior to the state's official adoption of Zoroastrianism in approximately 600 BCE, and it is well-attested that Zoroastrianism had existed already about 4,000 years before the crucifixion. This also means Mithra-worship in cultic fashion predates that span of time. Before the Romans, Greeks, and Persians even heard of Christianity's story of a deified reborn son of God (Yahweh), they had already been well-familiarized with the concepts of cosmic dualism, a dying-and-resurrected deity, and salvation for one's soul. "...Christian writers said that the Devil knew of the coming of Christ in advance and had imitated them before they existed...", the Circle of Ancient Iranian Studies writes. Justin Martyr's writings come to mind.

Furthermore, Christian Ministries International also declares that, "...there is no archaeological evidence of these mystery religions being present in the area of Israel/Palestine in the 1st century AD when the early church began proclaiming the resurrection of Christ...". This is actually true since the whole origin of the Western mystery-religions depends upon a sociocultural background of a society that embraced polytheism and animism, something that Judaism had already long condemned and prohibited. The introduction of soteriology, spiritual resurrection, even so much a fiery description of Hell, as central themes to the early Church's teachings, originated from later Hellenized Jewish authors, those with a Greek education. (The problem, however, is that this is an attempted counterargument against the true length of existence of the mystery-cult tradition; ironically, supporting the knowledge we have today. It supports the starting assertion, not its own rebuke thereof.)

Therefore, it remains as factual and accurate to reassert the notion that it was the early Church adopting elements of pre-Christian mystery-cult religiosity, not the other way around. The folks at Christian Ministries International are either ignorant of the full context of the historic record, or they are lying to their congregation and to the general public.
