Pakistan’s Prime Minister claims that five fighter jets operated by the Indian Air Force were downed during last night’s missile attack and resulting escalation, with all of the aircraft claimed to have been shot down by Pakistani J-10Cs using PL-15 Air-to-Air Missiles.

Pakistani officials state that the death toll from last night’s missile attack by the Indian Air Force currently sits at 26 civilians; they make no mention of any terrorists or militants killed in the strikes.

This is beyond embarrassing for India. In less than 12 hours, they have lost at least three fighter aircraft, possibly more, to Pakistan. This is the most aircraft that have been lost by India in a conflict since the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971.

Heavy explosions heard within the town of Poonch on the Indian side of disputed Kashmir, as a result of artillery fire originating from Pakistan.

Additionally, sources told CNN that today the Houthis “took a shot” at the Harry S. Truman (CVN-75). This comes despite the Omani-brokered ceasefire between the Houthis and the U.S. that was supposed to see both sides cease strikes on each other. At this time, the nature of the Houthi strike has not been disclosed, nor does it seem to be related to today’s loss of an F/A-18F “Super Hornet” due to an arrestment failure.

Both India and Pakistan deny that any of their fighter aircraft have been downed during tonight’s escalation, with an Indian defense official stating that all aircraft and pilots involved with Operation Sindoor are safe and have returned to their respective bases in India.

According to the Associated Press, U.S. President Trump intends to announce during his trip next week to Saudi Arabia, that the United States will now officially refer to the Persian Gulf as the Arabian Gulf or the Gulf of Arabia, moving away from the historical naming of the body of water by Iran/Persia to the one used now by all of the other Gulf Nations.
Yet another F/A-18F “Super Hornet” has been lost in the Red Sea, after an “arrestment failure” today onboard the USS Harry S. Truman (CVN-75) caused the aircraft to overshoot the deck and land in the water, with both the pilot and weapon system officer (ESO) able to successfully eject. Both naval aviators were recovered by a rescue helicopter, suffering only minor injuries, as an investigation into the incident has been launched by the Department of the Navy. This is the second F/A-18 to be lost by the Truman in the last two weeks, after last week an F/A-18E and tow tractor fell overboard from the main hanger while the Truman was carrying out “evasive maneuvers” to avoid fire by the Iranian-backed Houthis in Yemen.

Pakistan’s Defense Minister has now claimed to Bloomberg that five Indian fighter jets have been shot down and that several Indian soldiers have been taken as Prisoners-of-War (POW). Of course there is no evidence of this at all, either from official or unofficial sources.

The Indian Air Force has since taken control of the site, but the type of aircraft is still unknown, with many believing it to be either an IAF Rafale or Mirage 2000.

Evidence now suggests that at least a few fighter jets with the Indian Air Force either crashed or were shot down tonight near the border with Pakistan, possibly during the strikes against “terrorist strikes” in Pakistan. Most if not all of them though appears to have crash landed in India, though it is still not known what aircraft they were or the status of the pilots, though all of the crash sites are claimed to have been found and secured by the Indian Air Force.
After speaking to his Pakistani counterpart, U.S. National Security Advisor and Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that he is monitoring the ongoing situation and intends to stay in contact with top decision-makers in both India and Pakistan. The United States has begun to increase intelligence-gathering efforts in Greenland, as part of President Trump’s campaign to purchase or in some way take the island nation from Denmark, according to reports from the Wall Street Journal. Several high-ranking officials under Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Tulsi Gabbard issued a “collection emphasis message” to the heads of intelligence agencies last week, including the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) and the National Security Agency (NSA), directing them to learn more about independence movements in Greenland and attitudes on the island towards the extraction of resources by the United States. The message also directed agencies to identify potential collaborators who could support U.S. objectives in both Greenland and Denmark.
U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and Trade Representative Jamieson Greer will travel to Switzerland later in the week for high-level trade talks with a Chinese delegation led by Vice Premier He Lifeng, the first discussions between the two countries since President Trump placed a 145% tariff on nearly all goods entering the United States from China, causing Beijing to respond with retaliatory tariffs of up to 125%.
