🔹Enzo Maresca: "We are in our worst moment and I said to my players that we are fourth and only one point behind third. That's how well we started the season."
🔹Enzo Maresca on Filip Jorgensen getting jeered when kicking short: "My message to Filip was if you play a long ball, I will change you, I am very happy. It is difficult for all the keepers [when that happens] but they just need to follow the plan."
🔹Enzo Maresca on the win: "We all needed that. We were in a bad run in term of results. The performance was always there maybe except against Brighton. The club needed that. We are happy."
🔹Enzo Maresca: "In these month and half has been when I have pushed players even more to believe in the process. Since we started, we have almost been in the top four. But now it's normal to go through some bad moments. It's about how we react and how we continue to believe in what we do. The players are fantastic and worked hard every day."
🔹Enzo Maresca on Cole Palmer: “ We said since we start we cannot rely on Cole [Palmer] for every game. He has to continue to work, continue to be happy, continue to laugh they way he does. It’s completely normal, every top player goes through this, it’s completely normal, you cannot expect Cole Palmer every game to be like last season or the first part of this season, it’s about how he reacts now, he’s calm and still happy”
