"Before the body fails, it is the spirit that triumphs or capitulates. And even when the body has given way, the spirit can lift it up, or let it corrupt itself even more, then poison itself forever.
We are our own masters. We can sink into the chasms, or stand in them up to the shoulder, or climb out of them, and overcome them. Everything can be avoided, and everything can be done."
Happy Palm Sunday!

"One should write - yes! - against violence, that is to say, more precisely against all violence. Not only against the violence of Hitler, but also against the violence of Mollet throwing thousands of parachutists on the Suez Canal in 1956, with as much premeditation as deceit: against the violence of the Americans pelting the Vietnamese fifteen thousand kilometres from Massachusetts or Florida, whose lives they did not have to control in any way; against the violence of the English overwhelming the Nigerians with armies in order to free, thanks to a million dead Biafrans, the super capitalist petrol wells; against the violence of the Soviets, flattening under their tanks the Hungarians and Czechs who refused their tyranny!"

31 years ago today, Léon Degrelle left this earthly life.
In Benalmádena (in Malaga), in the parish of the Virgin del Carmen, a Mass was celebrated in his memory, requested by “his comrades and friends,” with this notice: “Join in the mourning of his family and pray for the eternal rest of his soul, a Mass to be held in the parish Virgin del Carmen (Sol y Mar, Benalmádena-Costa) on Friday, April 15th, at 8.30 p.m.” Among those attending the funeral mass were, in the midst of a large group of loyal friends, Mariano Bolaño Lozano and General Remer.
In the memorial, these three phrases extracted from his work The Burning Souls were transcribed:
"If death comes, we will see it arrive without blinking; we will go with a light step and the sad smile for the memories that resurrect in thelast few seconds. If we return then, when life, lukewarm, has made us forget this icy wind, our hearts will now recover forever the balance of life that knew not how to tremble before death. May fate always find us worthy and strong!
Once we have fulfilled our duties, what does it matter if death comes at the age of thirty or one hundred years? Short or long, life is only worth something if in the moment we must hand it over, we have nothing to blush about it.
The ideal will live to the extent that we give ourselves to it until we die. What a drama, indeed, that of an upright life!"
The last Volksführer died a Catholic, who never stopped believing in a truly united Europe.

"For the first time since the French Revolution, in spite of the diversity of nationalisms, burning ideas and a burning ideal provoked rather identical reactions.
One single faith sprang forth at the same time from one end of the old continent to the other, whether it was at Budapest, Bucharest, Amsterdam, Oslo, Athens, Lisbon, Warsaw, London, Madrid, Brussels or Paris."

Seems like the people have spoken. I honestly didn't expect such a high turnout for subtitled videos, but I'm glad that you enjoy them. Several projects will be coming soon, I will do my best to digitize, translate and subtitle everything interesting I may find. In between these larger and more time-consuming planned projects, I'll post some quotes.

LD with Pedro Varela, a good friend of his and former president of CEDADE
"Europe has no guarantee of living forever. If there are no young people willing to fight for her, Europe will disappear. Those who have heard the “Belgian Lion” in some speech know how he speaks, with heart, with soul, with the truth, and with complete logic; with demolishing argumentation; with his characteristic accentuation and enthusiasm. Even today, at seventy-six years old, with numerous scars from combat, he is “still a kid,” as everyone confirms."

"The exiled person, naturally, has a tendency to believe that his chances will return. He watches the horizon. The least symptom of modification in his lost country is invested in his eyes with a capital importance. An election, a press incident of no interest, puts him in a state of effervescence. Everything is going to change! Nothing changes. The months pass, the years pass. At the beginning the special exiled person was recognised. One watched wherever he went. Today hundred persons come into contact with him indifferently; the fat woman who bumps into him thinks of her leeks that she needs to buy; the man, too slow in front of her, ogles the passers-by; the boy who runs banging his shinbones does not have the least idea of who he is, and especially of what he was. He is only an unknown person in the heap. Life has passed on, washed over everything, the existence of the proscribed has become colourless like the rest."

"The action that might interest me now goes beyond the narrow national entities. A powerful Europe must be forged, in which today’s countries will have the role that the old, unified provinces had within European countries from the Renaissance to the nineteenth century. In the face of an immense world that threatens or wants to defeat her, this Europe must unify, or she will die."

Today, death has welcomed you.
You never promised us more than glory.
In our hearts, Chief, you have already achieved it.
