On the other hand, they want to say "God can do whatever he wants and owes us nothing"
If God is "Just" then that implies he owes us things - like fair treatment
A good and honest Judge owes the defendant a fair trial. He owes the victim fair compensation. And he owes society to uphold the law.
If the judge declared that he "owes nothing" to society, then he's no longer a good judge and should be disbarred.
