So, as expected, Christians received the most secular, impersonal, and meaningless message today to mark the beginning of the Easter weekend.
A weekend dedicated to one thing:
The death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Despite @AlboMP’s previous track record of writing lengthy, celebratory messages that show his understanding and appreciation of other religious holidays—such as Ramadan and Holi—we Christians are once again ignored and undermined, despite ours being the religion our forefathers followed to build this beautiful country.
How disappointed they’d be if they were alive to see it now. 🇦🇺

Two bronze statues honouring orphan children of Hobart’s colonial past have been destroyed. Part of the 'From the Shadows' series by renowned Irish sculptor Rowan Gillespie, these statues told stories of suffering and resilience, now torn from their plinths.
