Bobirjon’s Blog (Yeah, I know—couldn’t have picked a more original name, right?)

IELTS 9.0? (Okay buddy, where’s your IELTS marathon? How much are you making selling IELTS tips?)

SAT 1600? (He’s probably just naturally good at taking tests. Wait—hold on, he’s an American resident? Lol, no wonder he has a 9.0 in IELTS and a perfect SAT score. If I grew up in the U.S., I’d probably have those scores too.)

Here’s one thing I’ve learned about life: it’s never fair.

When I couldn’t afford college consulting while applying to top universities, I blamed my immigrant parents. When I had to work to pay for my own LSAT tutoring, I told myself how easy it must be for my American peers to just swipe their dad’s credit cards. But then I remember—there are people who are even more disadvantaged than I am.

So what now?

Do we keep blaming our circumstances? Do we brush off other people’s success by saying, “Well, they just had it easier”?

The truth is, every one of my achievements came from hundreds of hours of hard work and discipline. Sure, it might’ve taken me less time if I had certain privileges. And it might’ve taken me more if I were just an average international student from Uzbekistan. But that’s not the point.

The point is: don’t blame your failures on your circumstances. Acknowledge your disadvantages—but don’t let them define you. Let them drive you.

That’s why I love Azizbek’s motto: "Oltariq to Harvard."
Some people roll their eyes and say, “You’re overusing that phrase.”
But for others, it should be a wake-up call—a reminder that, “Hey, I’m in the same, if not better, position than he was. So maybe it’s not my circumstances—it’s my excuses.”
Me listening to this banger after getting my first FULL SCORE on LSAT Reading Comp 27/27.

When hard work pays off and the mission is accomplished.
There is a golden rule of Admissions. What worked yesterday will not work today. It's okay to go start a national movement if you're genuinely passionate and want to do it but copying what someone did won't get you in. Don't try to copy from successful cases, try to learn from them
Congratulations to my little brother on FINALLY breaking the 1500s!

Now, time to lock in on those Poli Sci books and College applications!
Asadbek a dream come true. Bro studied with Bobir aka, Sukhrob aka, Azimkhon and me(helped with math)
The first A came in this morning. Professors started to submit grades.
For Everyone DMing me!

Freshmen gathers students who can share their admissions experience. This is our student not Freshmen’s. And freshmen is in no way claiming that’s their student.

They’re just trying to produce useful content interviewing all students. They’ve previously had other students of mine on this series.

I definitely recommend you guys to check it out!

My First week in America

Context to the second pic. Immigrant parents wanted me to take a photo with a “black guy” so we can send it back home 🤣.

Don’t judge it’s the immigrant experience 😭

Yale was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!!

Thanks to Sharibonu, Murad and Gavhar for being the best tour guides. I feel like I got sooooooo much from my 1 day experience at Yale.

I’ll definitely make a post about what I loved about Yale. Yale lives up to the hype.

(I took the picture. It’s not from Google)

This is how I use ChatGPT as a cheat code! I feed ChatGPT all the readings and class lecture notes. Then, I tell ChatGPT to give me any possible exam questions and evaluate my answer. ChatGPT will give me the question then once I answer it, it tells me if I did it right and how to better answer the question. If I do this for about 5-6 hours constantly. I will Ace any exam

My One day at Yale

I arrived at Yale 10AM in the morning coming straight from Boston. First, I toured the university alone for about an hour and thought. “Yale is pretty small and boring”. Because there wasn’t a lot of people on campus on a Sunday morning and it was pretty boring to tour alone.

Then I met up with Shahribonu a Senior at Yale from Samarkand. We talked for an hour about our lives. We both went to the same Middle School and high school and we both live in the same neighborhood in Brooklyn. So it was really nice to just catch up with her.

Then we met up with Murad and Gavhar and all of us just socialized and talked about Central Asian culture and etc… Murad then gave me shit calling my music taste old 😭. I said I like Uzb singers like Ozodbek Nazarbekov, Ulugbek, Alisher Fayz etc.

Then we got New Haven pizza which I rated 7.5/10, played Durak and ping pong towards the evening. Then I headed back to Hopkins!

Overall, I LOVED YALE. It was quiet, architecture was beautiful (better than Harvard). There weren’t a lot of tourists so the campus was mostly students which was amazing. Students seemed very nice and welcoming also. Yale is an amazing school. I will definitely apply and pray to god I get in!

If I ever have the privilege of choosing between Harvard or Yale for law school…

I will make another post comparing the two on which one I would choose for undergraduate vs law school!
