Adolf Hitler and Animals
We know for a fact that the Fuhrer was a vegetarian and ate meat on principle, replacing it with plant foods. However, he did not transfer his personal experiences to national policy, but kept them to himself.
According to the testimonies in the personal diary of Joseph Goebbels, one can see Hitler's deepest, almost fanatical respect for nature. Here is an entry from December 29, 1939:

The SS Camp Administration chief issued a directive on December 28, 1942, to Auschwitz and other concentration camps. It sharply criticized the high death rate of prisoners due to disease and ordered that "camp doctors must use all means at their disposal to reduce the death rate in the camps".
Furthermore, the directive stipulated that:
Camp doctors should check the prisoners' nutrition more frequently than was the case in the past and, together with the administration, submit recommendations to the camp commandants... Camp doctors should ensure that working conditions and workplaces are improved as much as possible.
Finally, the directive emphasized that "the Reichsführer SS [Heinrich Himmler] has ordered that the mortality rate must be absolutely reduced".

That was the order. To arouse the highlanders' hatred of the Germans. Of those who were going to liberate them from the wonderful Soviet power.
