There was a time when Khabarovsk was inhabited only by Russians and Ukrainians, like most of Priamurye. And the region has always been the most resistant to migration, but this resistance has been brutally crushed by the Putin regime
In 2019, local members of the LDPR lead by Sergei Furgal, fed up with the massive waves of migration flooding Khabarovsk Krai, broke from the traditional LDPR position of being Putins puppets. They ran a competitive regional election against Putins United Russia, and the LDPR won in a landslide.
A few months later murder charges were fabricated against Furgal. The LDPR’s Jewish leader Zhirinovsky told him to resign so he could be replaced with another regime puppet but he refused. Police then arrested Furgal and he was given a life sentence.
The people of Khabarovsk then engaged in mass protests where over 10% of the city’s population was present, but the Putin regime used the excuse of Covid lockdowns to beat, arrest, charge and fine thousands of them.
And this leads us to the current situation in Khabarovsk
