Last week Trump was spot on in denying Ukraine more weapons to perpetuate continuous war. Today he missed the target completely by telling Israel he'll give them "everything they need to finish the job," whatever that means.
More weapons to kill more civilians is the last thing Israel needs and every military planner knows it. Bringing home hostages has nothing to do with that. It's AIPAC at work writing that script.
Now Pete Hegseth is threatening war with China over economic policy. The hell?
This may be rhetoric but it's either dumb rhetoric, or more likely prepared psyop rhetoric designed to prep Americans for another false flag to perpetuate more war, not less.

Trump announcing the US "taking over" Gaza may sound groundbreaking but it's not, not even remotely. This is what the US has been doing for generations as John Perkins explained in his memoir of being a sleazy government agent Confessions of and Economic Hit Man.
1) Pinpoint strategic real estate
2) Fund chaos (wars/revolutions) within that geography
3) Sweep in among the chaos and get the local officials to sign over the infrastructure and rebuilding efforts to American corporations
4) Repeat
It makes perfect sense from an investment and human rights standpoint to step in and clean up war zones. What else can we do? But know that it was US and Israeli financial interests that created these opportunities to rebuild in the first place. It was US money and weapons that destroyed Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, etc. and western corps will profit from the entire operation.
Not saying Trump shouldn't rebuild Gaza. But ethnic cleansing to spur profit was Israel's goal from the beginning. History tells all.

An unrepentant military telling veterans to, "Please come on back," is kinda like an abusive husband who refuses counseling, thinking flowers and a new car will make up for trauma they've caused.
Until the DOD recognizes the malfeasance of its commanders - in every branch, at every level - and publicly commits to restoring the warriors THEY wounded they'll never rebuild the trust they've squandered.
