While Sun is transiting Taurus, Tarot Major Arcana which corresponds to this Zodiacal month is ATU V - Hierophant. Hierophant is a mystical figure of the Wise Old Man archetype. Master of Mysteries. Lord of Initiation. Crafter of Ceremonies. Hierophant embodies structured knowledge. I love this famous quote which for me encapsulates the nature of Hierophant Major Arcana: “Tradition is passing on of the Flame, not the worship of ashes.”
Interestingly enough it is in the season of Taurus new conclave (Pope’s elections) is occurring this year. Is there a chance we will have a decent head of the Vatican with new Pope?
Another two Major Arcana are also at play this season: Priestess and Empress because Moon, which corresponds to Priestess, is exalted in Taurus and Venus (Empress) rules it.
