In Loving Memory: Pope Francis (1936–2024)
Born Jorge Mario Bergoglio in Buenos Aires, 1936 — the son of immigrants, a student of chemistry, and a man called by God. He joined the Jesuits in 1958 and became known as a humble priest who walked with the poor.
In 2013, he became the first Jesuit pope, the first from the Americas, and took the name Francis — after the saint of peace and poverty.
As pope, he led with love, mercy, and courage. He reminded us that the Church is a home for all, that creation is sacred, and that Christ is found in the margins.

With heavy hearts, we mourn the passing of Pope Francis, a shepherd who led us with humility, compassion, and courage. His deep love for the poor, his tireless call for mercy, and his unwavering faith will echo in the hearts of the faithful for generations.
Let us pray for the repose of his soul, and that his legacy may inspire us to live the Gospel with the same tenderness he showed the world.

“This Easter, as we celebrate the Resurrection of Christ, let’s remember those who couldn’t—and still can’t—celebrate freely. May we live our faith with the same courage they longed for.”
In 1916, during Holy Week, Irish men and women rose up for freedom—many with a deep love for the Catholic faith. Some died with Rosaries in hand and the Sacraments on their lips. Their sacrifice helped open the way for a Catholic Ireland to live more openly.
Let’s also remember the true martyrs of the Church—those in Ireland and around the world who gave their lives for Christ. May we honour them not with words alone, but by living our faith with joy, boldness, and love.

How to Disprove Islam Using the Quran and the Bible
One of the simplest ways to challenge Islam’s claims is by pointing out what the Quran itself says about the Bible.
1. The Quran Confirms the Bible as God’s Word
• The Quran explicitly affirms that the Torah (Old Testament) and the Injil (Gospel/New Testament) are revelations from God:
• “Indeed, We sent down the Torah, in which was guidance and light.” (Surah 5:44)
• “And We sent, following in their footsteps, Jesus, the son of Mary, confirming that which came before him in the Torah. And We gave him the Gospel, in which was guidance and light.” (Surah 5:46)
2. The Quran Declares God’s Words Cannot Be Changed
• “And the word of your Lord has been fulfilled in truth and in justice. None can alter His words.” (Surah 6:115)
• “There is no changer of the words of Allah.” (Surah 18:27)
3. The Quran Never Says the Bible Is Corrupt
• Nowhere in the Quran does it state that the Torah or Gospel has been corrupted. Instead, it commands Muslims to believe in them:
• “Say, ‘We have believed in Allah and what has been revealed to us and what has been revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and the Descendants, and what was given to Moses and Jesus.’” (Surah 2:136)
• If the Quran says the Bible is from God and that God’s words cannot be changed, then Muslims contradict their own scripture when they claim the Bible has been corrupted.
What This Means
If Muslims accept the Quran as true, they must also accept the Bible as true. But if the Bible is true, then Islam is false because it contradicts the core teachings of Christianity. If they claim the Bible is corrupt, they are denying their own scripture, which says God’s words cannot be altered.
This argument forces Muslims into a logical dilemma:
1. If they trust the Quran, they must trust the Bible—which disproves Islam.
2. If they reject the Bible, they must reject the Quran as well.
Either way, Islam collapses under its own claims.
