I don’t know how to bid farewell to a month that gave me everything. A month that softened my heart, forgave my sins, and held me quietly in its nights when I felt most alone. O blessed month, you were a guest I wasn’t worthy of... yet you still welcomed me. You still opened the door of mercy, still fed my soul even when I came with empty hands.

And now you are leaving… and I am afraid. Afraid I didn’t do enough. Afraid I let moments slip away that could have changed my Akhirah. What if this was my last Ramadhan? What if I never get another chance to whisper my Du'as in your still, sacred hours? O Allah… if I fell short, don’t turn me away. If I leave this month empty-handed, it’s not because You didn’t give... it’s because I didn’t take.

Don’t let me rise from Your table with nothing. Don’t let me be among those who saw the doors of forgiveness wide open… and still turned away. Farewell, O beloved month. I will miss you more than words can say. And if my voice was too weak to reach the heavens, then let it be carried in the tears of the one You’ve kept hidden - our Imam al-Mahdi (AJTF). O beloved month, please… remember me on your way out.

The one who looked like a Servant

Ayatollah Rahmani Hamadani has said:

'I had heard that there was an Ayatollah called Ayatollah Bahjat, who was of great spirituality. I wanted to see him, I searched and found his house. I went there and knocked on the door...

An old man with a short beard and in pyjamas, opened the door. I asked him about Ayatollah Bahjat.

He replied, “Anything to do with him?”

I said, “I have a word with him.”

He responded, “Tell me what you’re going to tell him.”

I answered, “I should talk to him individually.”

The old man smiled and said, “Yes, it’s possible!” I thought, “It is useless, they do not allow me to see him.” I had to say goodbye and leave there. On my way back, I told myself, “I’ll go to the mosque and arrange an appointment with him.”
In the evening, I was sitting in the mosque and I was wondering what he would look like.

Shortly after Adhaan (the call to prayer), an ordinary clergyman entered the mosque and went to the prayer niche. I told myself, “Here again I could not see him,”
I was a little depressed and asked others, “Won’t Ayatollah Bahjat come?” They showed me that very ordinary clergyman, saying, “There he is.”

For sixty years, I have been into religious sciences and knowledge of the course, and I thought I could distinguish between the real and the fake at a glance, but I could not distinguish between Ayatollah Bahjat and a servant. During Maghrib prayers and part of Isha prayers, I was preoccupied with these thoughts when I recalled a Hadith by the Holy Prophet:
“Among people, Prophet Muhammad behaved in such a way that no stranger could identify him.”

Self-Reflection:

In today’s world, where self-promotion is encouraged and even expected... especially on social media... it’s easy to fall into the trap of wanting to be seen, heard, and praised. But the true lovers of Ahlulbayt (AS) carry themselves with quiet humility. They know they are nothing without Allah SWT, and they see all good as coming from Him alone. "Alhamdulillah" is not just a phrase they utter... it’s the reality of their heart.

The problem is, we often do good… and then wait to be noticed. Whether it’s a recitation, a post, or community service, there’s a subtle pleasure when people praise us. That pleasure is dangerous. It feeds the nafs. It robs us of sincerity. And it slowly turns our worship into performance. Shaytan doesn’t always misguide with sin... sometimes he uses admiration.

Next time someone praises you, just pause and observe your heart. Do you enjoy it? Do you want more? That might be a sign that your journey is veering off course... not towards Allah SWT, but back towards your self.

Imam Sajjad (AS) taught us this beautiful line in Dua Makarimul Akhlaaq:

وَلا تَرْفَعْنِي فِي النَّاسِ دَرَجَةً إِلا حَطَطْتَنِي عِندَ نَفْسِي مِثْلَهَا

"And do not raise me in the sight of people by a single degree without lowering me within myself by the same amount."

Because the real elevation is before Allah SWT... not in the eyes of people.

Never Underestimate the Importance of Hijab

Hijab is far more than a piece of cloth... it is a divine safeguard meant to protect women from the gaze of lust and preserve their dignity. Its purpose is not fulfilled merely by covering the body, but by doing so in a manner that does not attract attention or resemble adornment.

Sadly, modern trends have turned the Hijab into a fashion accessory, shaping it to reveal beauty rather than conceal it. Clothing that outlines or accentuates the body, even if labelled as Hijab, contradicts its true purpose.

A believing woman wears the Hijab to please Allah SWT, not to conform to cultural expectations or to please society. Her beauty is a sacred trust meant for her husband, not for public display. When Hijab is worn for reasons other than sincere devotion... such as fear of judgment or societal norms... it often lacks true modesty and can be easily abandoned when those external pressures disappear, especially when travelling abroad.

True modesty stems from understanding one’s worth and the sanctity Allah has placed upon a woman’s body. Sadly, the modern world flips this value... exposing beauty for all while the one meant to enjoy it, the husband, is deprived. This distortion harms the foundation of moral and spiritual life.

Care must also be taken when exposed to environments that dilute Islamic principles. Hijab and gender interaction guidelines are divine commands, not cultural constraints.

If a person crosses the borders of a country, even if by only one step, then they would be considered a trespasser.

Similarly, a woman who exposes a portion of her chest, hair, or leg, is a woman who has trespassed against Divine boundaries:

“Those of you who transgress the bounds set by Allah are indeed the wrong-doers.” (2:229).

Therefore, we shouldn’t make light of how small sin may seem, as it is said: “Don’t look at the smallness of the sin you committed but look at the One you disobeyed!"

Eid Mubarak to you all, wherever you are in the world
May the light of this blessed day reach your hearts and homes.

Eid al-Fitr marks not only the end of a sacred month, but the beginning of renewed hope, mercy, and closeness to Allah SWT. As we bid farewell to the holy month of Ramadhan, we carry with us the blessings, lessons, and transformations it brought into our lives.

However your Ramadhan has unfolded, take a moment to be grateful... for the nights spent in worship, the hands raised in du'a, the moments of connection with your Lord, and the presence of loved ones who reminded you of His mercy.

On this day of celebration, let us also remember our awaited saviour, Imam al-Mahdi (AJTF). May our deeds be a means of nearness to him, and may we be among those who welcome his return with hearts full of sincerity and readiness.

May your Eid be filled with joy, meaning, and nearness to the Divine.
May all your fasts, prayers, and tears be accepted.

The True Goal of Life

an important advice of Imam Sayyid Ali Khamenai (may Allah SWT protect him)

Today, 19th April, marks the birth of Imam Khamenei, turning 86 - a leader who has never bowed to tyranny, a voice for the oppressed, and a steadfast defender of Islam. We pray to Allah SWT to protect Sayyid Khamenei’s life and health, grant him strength and clarity, and keep him as a guide for the oppressed until the reappearance of Imam al-Mahdi (AJTF).

A leader who bows only to God is a mercy in our time.

The Danger of the "I"

Based on a Story from the Life of Shaheed Ibrahim Hadi

[Narrated by A Group of Friends of the Martyr]

We were in the gym for wrestling. We were getting ready for exercise. Ibrahim entered. A few minutes later another of our friends came in. When he entered, he said without introduction, “Dear Ibrahim! Your style and body have become very attractive! On the way when you were coming, two girls were behind you. They were talking about you continuously!” Then he continued, “You are wearing a stylish shirt and pants. You have a sports bag in your hand too. It is obvious that you are an athlete!"

I looked at Ibrahim. He was thinking and had become upset! It seemed he wasn’t expecting such a thing. The next session I went to exercise again. When I saw Ibrahim, I started laughing. He was wearing a long shirt and loose pants! Instead of a sports bag, he had put his clothes in a plastic bag! From that day on he came to the gym like this!

The other athletes used to say, “What kind of a person are you?! We come to the gym to be athletic looking and to wear tight clothes. Why are you in shape physically, but wearing these kinds of clothes?” Ibrahim didn’t care about what they said. He advised his friends, “If exercising is for God, it will be an act of worship. But if it is for any other intention, it will be to your detriment.”

[Peace Be On Ibrahim, Vol 1, Page 33]

In a time where self-promotion has become normalised... even spiritualised... we must pause and ask: what happens when the “I” becomes the centre of our message?

The nafs (ego) is subtle, dangerous, and persistent. It disguises itself in the cloak of sincerity, in the mask of ‘doing good’, while quietly demanding attention, praise, and validation. And when scholars or public figures clothe themselves in knowledge while feeding the nafs, they risk leading others not to Allah SWT... but to themselves.

When we let go of the “I”, Allah brings the hearts of people to us without us seeking them. But when we chase people... craving their attention, praise, or approval... we risk turning our backs on the One who truly matters. The path to influence in the eyes of creation begins with sincerity before the Creator. The more we empty ourselves of ego, the more space there is for divine light to shine through us.

In the Kashkool of Shaykh Baha’i, it is narrated that a prophet once asked God in supplication,

یا ربی کیف طریق الیک

“O my Lord, what is the way to You?”

In response, divine revelation came:

اترک نفسک و تعال الی

“Leave your self behind and come to Me.”

The path to Allah SWT begins with letting go of the ego.

Allah SWT, the Coverer of Defects

explained by Shaykh Muhammad M Khalfan

One of the beautiful Names of Allah SWT is Sattar al-‘Uyub (One who frequently covers defects).

This Name is revealed so brilliantly when our actions are hidden even from the two angels who record our deeds. In the supplication of Kumayl, we speak of sins which Almighty Allah hides even from the Kiraaman Kaatibin (the Noble Writers).

The exalted saint, Mawla Faydh al-Kashani in his ethical masterpiece al-Mahajjat al-Baydhaa' narrates the following thought provoking sacred tradition:

The Holy Prophet (s) is reported to have asked his Lord about the sins of his nation saying:
'O Lord, place the [responsibility of] accounting [of their deeds] on me, so that none other than myself knows their evil deeds.'

Thereupon Almighty Allah revealed unto him: 'They are your nation, whereas they are My servants, and I am more merciful to them then you are. I will not place the [responsibility of] accounting [of their deeds] on other than Myself, so that neither you nor others see their evil deeds.'
[Mawla Faydh al-Kashani, Al-Mahhajat al-Baydhaa', v.7, p. 260].

In one of his sermons on Laylat al-Qadr, Grand Ayatollah Jawadi Amoli, after mentioning the aforesaid tradition said that Allah SWT would take such accounting in his hands so that the people are not ashamed of their sins near the Prophet.

How can they solve the problem of shame near Allah SWT?
In response, he mentioned another sacred tradition where Almighty Allah says that in order for them not be ashamed near Him, He would make them forget their sins.

Never lose hope in the Vast Mercy of Allah SWT!

Hadith Al-Qudsi - what did Allah SWT say to Prophet Dawood (AS) about the Mercy and Love of Allah SWT for His Believing Servants?

Recited by brother Mahdi Sahwan
25.03.202515:56
My dear brothers and sisters, as we journey through the sacred days of Ramadhan, let’s pause and ask ourselves: why are we reading the Holy Qur’an? Is it to race to the finish line, or to truly meet the One who revealed it? The Qur’an isn’t just a book we rush through to tick off an accomplishment. It’s a divine conversation... between us and Allah SWT. When we sit with its verses, with a heart that’s still and a mind that reflects, we begin to taste its sweetness. One verse understood, one word pondered over, can change the course of our soul far more than pages read in haste.

So we must recite with love, with presence, with longing. We should approach the Holy Qur’an not just with our eyes, but with our hearts. Be in a state of purity... not just physically, but spiritually. Read slowly, reflect deeply. When something isn’t clear, look for its meaning. Make the Qur’an your companion, not a task. And remember: the goal is not to say “I finished it,” but to let it finish what it started within you. May Allah SWT make the Qur’an the light of our hearts and the guide of our lives.

Ramadhan is leaving us, did we realise its worth?

From the lecture of Ayatollah Mojtaba Tehrani (ra), who was a distinguished student of Imam Khomeini (ra).
30.03.202513:13
For the final days of the blessed month of Ramadhan, Ayatollah Fatiminiya (ra) has given a very important recommendation:

از اولیای الهی سینه به سینه یک یادگاری دارم که عمل به آن برکات فراوانی دارد. ماه مبارک رمضان این ضیافت الهی را با یک زیارت جامعه کبیره به آخر برسانید.

در اثر این عمل این ضیافت چنان رنگین خواهد شد که آثارش از عقول ما خارج است و روزی به کار خواهد آمد که آن روز هیچ چیز دیگری به کار نخواهد آمد.

"I have a legacy passed down from heart to heart from the divine saints, and acting upon it brings abundant blessings. Conclude this divine banquet of the blessed month of Ramadhan with a recitation of Ziyarat Jami‘a Kabira.

As a result of this act, this divine banquet will become so enriched and adorned that its effects go beyond our understanding, and it will be of benefit on a day when nothing else will be of benefit."
