Today we commemorate the terror-bombing of Dresden that took place between 13-15 February 1945, just one of many German cities that suffered the same fate. It is said that more people died in the bombing of Dresden than the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki combined, of which the majority were innocent women and children civilians, something the Allied forces and their leadership were well aware of at the time.
