Secret Spitfires is the story of young girls, boys, women, and a handful of elderly men who built thousands of Spitfires in secret during WW2. After the destruction of the main factories in Southampton by the Luftwaffe, the manufacturing of Spitfires was moved to shadow factories in small towns and villages.
The film, three years in the making, tells the incredible story of the secret Spitfires through the testimonies of surviving workers and eyewitnesses for the very first time. It also features unique archive footage and images never seen before.

From My Heart, Thank You
I can’t even put into words how overwhelmed and grateful I am. For so long, I hesitated to share my journey, to ask for help, it felt too vulnerable to do so. But something in me knew it was time. I had held it together for so long, and I was becoming very weary, especially in recent weeks. So I let go, and the moment I did, love poured in.
Five days ago, I took a leap of faith and with Bella’s help shared my GoFundMe. I asked God why I was being called to open up, why this moment had arrived. And I was shown very clearly an oyster shell, cracked open, revealing the beauty of the pearl inside. I realised that’s me. That’s all of us. When we let go, when we allow ourselves to be seen, we discover the love and support that was there all along.
I can see now the gift in being open, in telling my story, in feeling vulnerable. It’s not just about the money, which is going to make a massive massive difference in continuing and hopefully give me the all clear this year, it’s also about connection, trust and allowing myself to receive. And for that, I am grateful too.
Over these past five days, I have cried so many times, overwhelmed by your generosity, your kindness, your words, I have felt very humbled, people have been amazing in my community online and offline, old friends, new friends, family, people in my home ed community, friends of friends, you’ve all been absolutely amazing.
To every single person who has donated, shared, or sent love my way, sent kind words of support, offered treatments, thank you. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. I will be updating you on how I get on in the coming weeks and months and I am praying for the all clear this year.

**HOPE SUSSEX COMMUNITY STATEMENT**
Our response to the proposed Children’s Wellbeing and Schools Bill
The government plan includes forcing their reformed national curriculum on all schools, and greater power to issue orders for schools to be "academized" and sold to the highest bidder. Included in this new Labour curriculum will be far greater emphasis on the morally bankrupt sexualisation of our children, and damaging “transgender” grooming propaganda.
The bill will also include a compulsory register in every local authority in England, with every home educated child given an “identifier number”, regardless to whether or not that child has ever attended school in the past. It has been stated that this identifier number will be used by children’s social care, police, health services and education authorities to correlate their efforts in pursuing their aims.
Underhand methods
Parents will no longer have the right to home educate their children, should the local educational authority deem the home education “unsuitable.” This vague and subjective declaration will likely result in non-conformist/alternative places of recreation and education black-listed by authorities, as an underhand method of applying pressure to families to place their children into the state system.
Furthermore, the bill makes it clear that any child currently subject to a child protection investigation or protection plan, the local authority can enforce school attendance. In this case home education will not be granted until it is proven that this would be in the best interests of the child, and that the education to be provided outside of school is suitable. Once again, this vague and subjective statement will likely be exploited by the state in order to force children into the state school system.
Fighting back - to be forewarned is to be forearmed
The number of families opting to home educate their children is running at unprecedented levels and increasing. This trend is driven by a number of different factors, not least of which is the increasingly aggressive degenerative sexualised propaganda taught in state schools, which has left many parents disgusted and shocked, and the state knows this is very likely to further supercharge the popularity of homeschooling.
This bill is a desperate attempt to counter and reverse this trend using intimidating tactics to force families into placing their children back into school. But as with all government laws and diktats, they only work with consent from the people. With enough noncompliance, any rule or law becomes immediately irrelevant. We have proven this fact with the vast non-compliance demonstrations and marches in our cities a few years ago, that brought a swift end to the monstrously deceitful Covid19 mandates and restrictions, which were supposed to have ushered in a new dictatorial nightmare world for us all. We won that battle, and we will win this one also.
At the time of writing, this bill is already at the report stage in the House of Commons. It is likely to fly through the remainder of the bill passage and into reality in record time.
Our community – our refuge
At Hope Sussex we are keeping a very careful watch for any amendments to this proposed bill, and are busy dissecting it so we are ready to advise our community, that should they come to the attention of their local authority on this issue, we will be ready to furnish them with the correct pointed and dynamic response. Our people will absolutely be able to continue to homeschool their children as they see fit. This is their undeniable God-given right and will always remain so.
Our community is a refuge for families and their children who seek tutorage, entirely free from the corrosive anti-family values doctrine of the state education system; a system that is getting worse day by day.
We absolutely will never stop fighting for our community and our right to peace, freedom and autonomy.
