On February 23, a historic monetary reform will begin in Russia...

The head of the Central Bank, Elvira Nabiullina, announced the preparation of a major monetary reform, which will result in the introduction of a digital ruble as a new form of Russian currency.
The pilot project is already actively developing: 12 banks, 600 citizens and 30 trading enterprises are participating in it.

According to the Central Bank's forecasts , the share of non-cash payments in Russia could reach 90% by 2027–2029, while in the early 2010s this figure did not exceed 14%. This rapid growth is called the "Russian miracle", since Russia has become the only developing economy approaching a fully digital payment system, second only to Northern Europe.
New rules for receiving subsidized medicines in Kazakhstan: through biometrics and QR code

Biometrics are being introduced in Kazakhstani clinics. The idea is as follows: biometric data will help confirm patients' rights to free medications.

Since the beginning of the year, new rules have been introduced in Kazakhstan's polyclinics: a biometric data system is being introduced. Since last year, Face ID has been used in pilot mode in 48 medical institutions in Astana; in 2025, biometric identification should appear in all facilities subordinate to the Ministry of Health. According to the department, identifying patients by "face" will increase convenience and reduce corruption.

Another know-how that is currently being actively tested in clinics is the distribution of free medications via the "Social Wallet". Over 700 medical organizations across the republic are participating in this project to distribute medications via QR codes, and medications have already been issued for 1.7 million prescriptions.

Alan Watt on Carroll Quigley

"Remember what Professor Carroll Quigley said: 💥 wars are intended to change the cultures of the opposing parties; and, it does and governments grow incredibly large, because of wars.

Whether it's a Cold War, or otherwise, it doesn't matter.."

Thousands of smartphones to be blocked in Kazakhstan

Kazakhstan has updated the rules for registering mobile devices.
According to the order of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry, white, grey and black lists for registration of subscriber devices of cellular communications will be introduced from March 24.

The white list will include devices that have successfully passed verification and are added to the database. The gray list will include devices whose status requires additional verification, but are temporarily allowed to work in the network for up to 30 days. The black list will include devices with an incorrect or changed identification code, missing factory IMEI, or those added to the international GSMA black list.

Now the mobile operator checks for a match between the identification code of the subscriber device and the subscriber number with the already registered data of another owner, as well as the presence of information in the databases confirming the legality of its use in the mobile networks of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The operator is also obliged to notify owners about the status of their devices, and if they are included in the grey list, about the need to confirm the legality of using the smartphone. If verification is not completed within the specified period, the device is automatically transferred to the black list, and access to the mobile network is blocked .

The 15-Minute City, designed to restrict you to a 15-minute radius from your home. Presented as a way to achieve net zero emissions, this urban planning initiative is, however, a thinly veiled attempt at totalitarian control, similar to dictatorial regimes.

By restricting movement and access to resources, the state can exert unprecedented influence on the lives of citizens. What was sold as convenience for authoritarianism under the guise of ecology ... saving the planet and various other sh.....

China Creates Camera That Can Recognize Faces From Orbit

Chinese scientists have made a breakthrough in optical imaging technology, developing a powerful laser system that can resolve features as small as 1.7mm from more than 100km away. The development, which is 100 times more powerful than existing spy cameras and telescopes, could revolutionise surveillance and reconnaissance.
