At Stand In The Light we're not just bringing together our freedom family to connect, unwind and have an incredible time, we're also consciously supporting what the government is intent on making an endangered species: the British family farm. What better way to show solidarity with our incredibly hard-working, generational farming families than by actively supporting a wide awake farmer dedicated to working with nature and preserving the land through regenerative agriuclture? Simply buying a membership to this special 4-day event set in the tranquil, rolling hills of Cumbria - home to the famed Lake District - will help towards keeping this beautiful farm going, but there's more! 'Why are you holding a music festival when we’re in a war for our survival and freedom?'

For all those who went to the marches and rallies during 2020-22, that’s where and how The Light paper was born. People started standing in their parks in their thousands from early 2021 to show visble resistance to the tyranny in every corner of the British Isles.

From printing leaflets about the Coronavirus Act 2020 and organising coaches down to London, the spirit of those days and being with people physically allowed us to start the truthpaper you know and love and is still going strong today.

The internet and social media are a good way to connect with people, but as the Stands so powerfully demonstrated, nothing compares to meeting your tribe in real life! It is the best way to develop and widen our connections by having the full spectrum of communication available to us; let’s face it, some people are full of it on social media, some are paid agents or bots and some really shine in person as opposed to online.

Of course, we all need to relax and unwind as well as doing outreach and all the other things we do during the year, and we’re providing a ton of entertainment at Stand in The Light, but it’s really about re-energising that spirit of hope, justice and freedom and creating a space to engage and exchange ideas, as well as dancing your arse off and singing at the top of your lungs to some brilliant awake artists, DJs and learning from some knowledgeable individuals who are providing free workshops in the mornings.

📣 THE COUNTDOWN HAS BEGUN! It's now only SIX WEEKS until we kick off the summer freedom festival season with the best value event of the year, this time with added dance and conscious rap tents as well as the live stage. This year we will also be offering some excellent (free!) morning workshops along with the usual brilliant activities for the children, delicious food courtesy of our fabulous selection of food vendors and once again, a really great variety of stalls. There is a very low-priced return coach being laid on from London for those who don't fancy driving themselves; don't let distance be a hindrance when you can sit back, relax and chill with your extended freedom family on your journey! Campervans are welcome too (no extra charges) and for anyone who is more of a glamper than a camper there is the option of hiring a beautiful bell tent (furnished or unfurnished) for the 3 nights.
