Get training with multiple weapons systems and much more types of training on government dime, even getting paid to do so

Have plans to secure equipment for your own once the need and ability arises
Utilize benefits to work for my plans accordingly, such as a college degree, for certain jobs to help my tribe and those I consider my "in group"
"Muh army national guard is actually lame zogbot" is a gay take. I can do all of this, and stay home, where I can own guns and carry as a single male. Hard to do that in active duty, and my PT is completely up to me, among many other things. You can make it work. The pros and potential heavily outweigh the cons.
