Today's Coffee Report:
🚨 FRENCH PRESS FRIDAY 🚨
Got up and prepared to grind the beans from my new Lavazza stock. I had prepared the beans last night by carefully transferring them from the bag to the container, with the extra beans going in Ziploc bags in the freezer.
Inspecting the coffee beans today, I further doubt their dopey and dubious claim of this being a "light" roast. I could see plenty of shiny oil amongst the beans and even saw a blackened bean amongst them.
A burnt, blackened bean in my Lavazza "light" roast? SOMEBODY needs to call Lavazza Quality Control. They're lucky I'm not there with my imaginary diamond whip to whip the workers into SHAPE.
*whipcrack*
Anyway, I ground up the beans and brewed the usual 2 cups' worth in the French press. The coffee was decent. Had with a toasted raisin bagel topped with ape oil and simian salt.
And oh how sweet it is, my friends. All for now

Second piss of the day, yeah yeah, it's the second piss of the day
Second piss of the day, yeah yeah, it's the second piss of the day
*start walking down the hall to the piss room while insane music starts playing inside my head*

Today's Coffee Report:
🚨 NOT A FRENCH PRESS FRIDAY 🚨
I didn't use the French press today. I'm running low on coffee beans, and I was thinking of ways to make what I have left last a bit longer. It was time for an experiment.
I grabbed a reusable metal K-Cup I had that I never used before. This is one of those stainless steel ones where you can fill it with your own coffee. It was very spiffy and actually built decently, but I had never used it.
I ground up some Lavazza beans to fill the cup about 3/4 of the way, as per the instructions. I made sure to lower the grind size on my hand grinder since the brewing method is different. I think I settled at around 70 clicks, which was 11 clicks lower than what I use for the French press.
I packed the grounds into the metal K-Cup, which I like to call the "Iron K-Cup," even though it's stainless steel. I brewed it up in the K-Slop machine and everything went smoothly.
The coffee tasted more or less how I expected. It was much more watered-down in taste and mouthfeel, but not terrible. Just OK. I think I can get some more flavor out of it if I tinker with the grind size. Due to the size of the Iron K-Cup, I only used about half the amount of beans I would normally use per cup in the French press. I drank this mediocre brew with a toasted everything bagel topped with ape oil and simian salt.
Soon after, I brewed up a second cup in the same fashion. This time, I lowered the grind size a little more. I think I went down to 67 clicks. I tried getting a bit more coffee into the K-Cup as well, and I think this cup tasted a bit better.
Overall, I think this is an alright compromise. The coffee tastes inferior to the French press method, but it still tastes much better than your typical K-Slop. I also use less coffee, and my prep time and cleanup time are much shorter.
This won't be my main brewing method, but it's nice to have as a backup when I'm running low on coffee or time. I plan on buying some more beans soon, but in the meantime, I'll use this method to extend what I have left.
And oh how sweet it was and how sweet it will be, my friends. All for now

Today's Coffee Report:
Woke up feeling like crud. I woke up feeling like doggy snot.
I got up, hydrated, ate a banana, took some Special Boy headache medicine, and laid back down with a cool, wet rag over my eyes.
Eventually, I felt good enough to get up and brew up the rest of my coffee beans in the French press. I brewed up the usual 2 cups' worth and sucked it down verily. The caffeine helped my aching ape body. Had this brew with a toasted raisin bagel topped with ape oil and simian salt.
I have the new batch of Lavazza beans ready for tomorrow. I will be placing them in the coffee container soon.

Today's Coffee Report:
Woke up feeling a bit ROUGH. Got up and ground up some Lavazza beans and brewed them in the Iron K-Cup. It was tolerable. Had with a toasted everything bagel topped with ape oil and simian salt. I meant to have another cup later, but never got around to it.
Later, at Special Boy Tea Tunes, I started off by brewing a cup of Twinings "Pomegranate & Raspberry" Herbal Tea in honor of the approaching Flower Moon of May. It was juicy. This was the final packet of this tea that I had in the box, which was another reason I chose to brew it. For my second cup, I brewed up the traditional Special Boy Tea: Twinings "Honeybush, Mandarin & Orange" Herbal Tea. Was cozy.
And oh how sweet it is, my friends. All for now

Today's Coffee Report:
BACK ON THE FRENCH PRESS, BABY!
Got up and ground up some of the remaining Lavazza beans and brewed up 2 cups' worth in the French press, BABY. Sucked this succulent simian brew down whilst basking in the sweet simian sunshine outside, BABY. Had with a toasted raisin bagel topped with ape oil and simian salt, BABY.
I used the ape energy I obtained from all of this coffee to go on a sweet lil' hike later on, BABY.
My new batch of Lavazza beans also arrived today, so I'll have a steady supply for the next month or so. We're back, BABY.
And oh how sweet it is, my friends. All for now
