Experts Discuss Key Challenges in the Middle East 🗣
On February 21, the Gorchakov Fund hosted a panel session titled "The Middle East: Permanent Instability?", moderated by Ruslan Mamedov, PhD in History, Scientific Adviser of the Primakov Center, and Senior Research Fellow at the Center for Arab and Islamic Studies of the Institute of Oriental Studies, Russian Academy of Sciences.
The panel featured the following speakers:

The experts discussed prospects for regional stabilization and the influence of global actors on political processes in the Middle East. They highlighted the "poverty of ideas" in the region concerning challenges of development and the formation of a regional security system. The discussion also focused on the role of political Islam, Pan-Arabism, and national identity in the current geopolitical landscape.
