Yankee Devils ! This is a monument in South Carolina near the town of Chester.

Burrel Hemphill Monument Hopewell ARP Church, Olde English District
Burrel Hemphill, a slave in the household of Robert Hemphill during the War for Southern Independence, was reportedly tortured to death by Yankee troops for refusing to disclose the location of the family's silverware and other valuables. A monument erected in his honor reads: "In memory of Burrel Hemphill, Killed by Union soldiers February 1865. Although a slave, he gave his life rather than betray a trust. He was a member of Hopewell."

May we never forget our heroes of all ages who served in defense of the South in resistance to invasion! 🔥

He is risen!

At length has linked her fate!"

“General” William J. Bush, who died in Fitzgerald in 1952 at the age of 107, was the last surviving Confederate veteran in Georgia. The title of General was conferred later in life by the veterans groups in which he was so actively involved.

Flagging Gettysburg! We had a blast forwarding the colors on the hallowed grounds. This photo was taken shortly after this young man walked out with his Grandaddy across the field to follow the path their ancestor took in Pickett’s Charge. It’s our DUTY to teach the truth to the next generation. #FamilyFlagging
"The more I see of these Yankee girls the more thoroughly I am convinced of their inferiority in every respect to our Virginia ladies, in beauty especially. " J.E.B. Stuart, at West Point.
Take one Memorial down and we will build more ! We hope they love seeing it each day to remind all who pass of our rich heritage, history, culture, and the honor and valor of the brave men who fought under her. We are still here raising memorials over 160 years later… and we are not going anywhere !
True story from the Centennial of Lee's Surrender at Appomattox:

Robert E. Lee, IV was to be on hand for the surrender event. Shortly after leaving Richmond, and headed toward Appomattox, Lee was pulled over by a Virginia State Trooper. Addressing Mr. Lee, the trooper asked, "Are you Robert E. Lee, IV?"

"Yes sir, why, was I speeding?" responded Lee. "No, sir" answered the trooper.

The trooper then asked, "Are you headed to Appomattox for the surrender event?"

"Why, yes, I am. Why do you ask?"

"I just wanted to give you some advice."

"What's that?" inquired Lee.

"Whatever you do, don't sign anything."

And with that, the trooper saluted and returned to his cruiser.

Construction of the Rebel Yell, Kings Dominion. When Virginia was still a Southern state...
The Virginia Flaggers’ Rt. 360 Charlotte County Defenders Roadside Memorial Battle Flag was moved to a new location earlier this month. Just a few miles west of the original location, we are thrilled with the GREATLY improved visibility and new 20 year lease that will keep her flying for years to come! Many thanks to our dedicated volunteers for their hard work, for the Charlotte County Grays SCV Camp for partnering with us on this project, and to each of YOU whose generous support makes these projects possible!
He gets it! Thank you, President Trump!

HB1699 is headed BACK to the governor’s desk. Act NOW to urge him to VETO!

Democrats in the Virginia Legislature have rejected the Governor’s proposed amendments, so HB1699, which will unfairly yank tax exempt status from several of Virginia’s honorable historical societies, including the United Daughters of the Confederacy, Virginia Division Sons of Confederate Veterans, and the JEB Stuart Birthplace Preservation Trust is headed BACK to his desk . He vetoed similar legislation last year.

THE FINAL PUSH IS ON: Please contact Governor Youngkin TODAY and daily through the week/weekend. Thank him for his veto last year, and ask him to once again reject this vicious, partisan attack by democrats on our history, heritage, and first amendment rights, and VETO this bill!
